Unfortunately…. being honest dinners (meals) were not what I would expect. Therefore I recommend breakfast and eating dinners in city restaurants.
Especially Santner’s :)
THe curtains didn't fit the windows. The lampshades were clothes over wire frames and the breakfast was cold and very poor choice

Sauberkeit.
Personale fantastico (in particolare reception e maitre)
La struttura ha bisogno di un deciso ammordenamento.
Die Lage im Wald war sehr schön.
Die Anfahrt war etwas kompliziert wegen Bauarbeiten.

Subject: Detailed Review of Our Experience at Salegg
Dear [Colleague's Name],
I hope this message finds you in good spirits. I would like to take a moment to share my thoughts and express my appreciation for your support and collaboration.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Salegg, and I must highlight its stunning location surrounded by the mountains and forests. The Seiser Alm cable car is conveniently a short walk away, and there are numerous trekking trails right at your doorstep, offering endless exploration opportunities.
The accommodations are simple yet spacious and impeccably clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. The management and staff consistently go above and beyond to make your experience truly memorable. While the dining options may not reach gourmet levels, you can expect to end your day feeling satisfied.
This marks our third visit to Seiser Alm and Salegg, and each experience has been thoroughly enjoyable.
Happy family & Doggy
I have stayed here before and like the hotel.
The Wifi is improved and now all rooms can access it.
The front desk staff are friendly and cheerful.
A new manager Eduardo has implemented some improvements to the menu descriptions and makes himself visible.
In the restaurant Simona is always cheerful, hard working and supervises the staff well. Matteo, the waiter was friendly and spoke english well.
Minibus to the Gondola in the morning and pickup in the afternoon.
Great location and excellent service form all the staff.
We really enjoyed our stay. WiFi kept cutting out and could be improved in range but food and service really good and efficient. Thank you.
Chris
Have stayed here before. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are tidy and cleaned daily. 10-15 minutes walk to the mountain gondola station. Mini bus runs every 15 minutes in the morning and afternoon.
The dining room is smart and the restaurant manager keeps everything running smoothly. The meals are traditional, tasty and nourishing.
Ski locker room is available for guests.
Wifi only works in reception area.
We (family of four - two adults and two children aged Eight (8) and Six (6) stayed at Hotel Salegg for seven days for the Christmas and New Year period. We flew into Innsbruck and took a taxi transfer c. 90 minutes to Siusi.
We stayed on the 2nd floor in room 19 which was large enough for a double bed and a small bunk bed for the children. The hotel is over 1000 years old and despite this, it was a lovely and warm place. It was a basic room - no tea coffee facilities and local language TV channels, on a small TV, but then we weren't in the room much so this wasn't an issue.
The bathroom was clean and functional, the only downside was that the shower. As the plumbing was old, the water pressure in the evening meant that we ended up with a warm trickle when others were also showering. We got around this by showering at less busy times.
The hotel itself is a short walk c. 500m / 5 minutes to the ski lift and the bus stops. However, as others have stated, there is a shuttle service run by the hotel to take you to and from the ski lift which is great - just note it's not throughout the day and last bus from the ski lift is at 6pm.
The dining is in the large hall and breakfast is served from 7.30 which is perfect for the children and ourselves. It is largely continental fare with cereals and a large selection of cakes. There was a small hot offering of scrambled eggs and alternate days sausages / bacon.
Evenings, as part of our accommodation included the meal which was served promptly from 7.30pm. Don't make the mistake as we did of turning up at 8, as you'll miss the fresh salads and the serving of the courses is all at the same time. Typically there are four courses including anipasti, primo, secondi and dessert. Local wines are offered on the menu, as an extra, and were good and reasonably priced.
Staff were excellent and our lack of Italian was compensated by their English language skills. Nothing was too much of a chore for them, they helped us plan the trip on the local bus service to Bolzano, allowed the children to "help" out. Additionally, we found that the dinners tended to go on for 2 hours and finished around 9.30pm which was late for our children. When we raised this with the hotel staff, they arranged to have the childrens' meals brought out earlier. We explained that my wife was vegetarian, and again the staff understood and specially prepared vegetarian courses for her when the menu only specified meat dishes.
The children used the kids club where staff would play games / do balloon shapes etc and I used the sauna facilities (book a 20 minute slot from early evening - be prepared to pay for towel hire).
New Years the team laid on a lavish 9 course meal which was served from 8pm to midnight welcoming in 2019. All the staff helped out and there was much singing and a little dancing too...
Best bits: the character of the hotel and the service of the staff, proximity to the ski lifts, great freshly prepared meals
Could be improved: shower facilities
Would happily recommend the hotel
Recently I visited Slegg Hotel for a week with a group of friends. It was for the second time when we decided to spend the end of the year here. I can say that the hotel was like usually over our expectations, the restaurant offered every day a delicious meal cooked by professionals. Moreover there was a couple of animators Francesca and Mariano who were the soul of our entertaining there. Every evening they knew how to offer pleasurable moments, to attract the kids and...their parents, too in entertaining games. Their friendly and pleasant presence made us to decide to visit the hotel next year too. EXCELLENT. Victoria Saghin
Brilliant friendly hotel, good location for ski gondola as mini bus goes from hotel every ten mins or easy walkng distance. Lovely food and bar in hotel, few mins walk into town. Ski ing all abilities lots of runs to choose from
