Whale Island Resort

There was no TV in the room and phone signal was only available in public areas, but that was the best part. I spent a lot of time reading, swimming, snorkeling, and stargazing at night. This is the kind of vacation I think everyone should try at least once.

J’ai adoré la magnifique suite enfouie dans la végétation, au calme avec le chant des oiseaux et le bruissement de la forêt. Située en retrait de l’effervescence de la plage, décorée dans un style asiatique, aux couleurs ocre, habillée de bois et de bambous, simple, rustique, sans climatisation. On a l’impression de dormir dans la cabane de Robinson Crusoé.
Le personnel est adorable et aux petits soins.
La plage est fabuleuse et j’ai adoré nager dès l’aube dans les eaux calmes et translucides de cette anse qui baigne ce fabuleux Resort.

The rooms are simple but very comfortable and close to nature. I especially liked how the resort used a lot of furniture made from recycled wood. Everything felt rustic but was still clean and well-maintained.

The facilities weren't luxurious, but everyone here was friendly and genuine. From the moment we boarded the boat until we left the island, we felt welcome. They remembered our names and were always ready to help without feeling awkward. Sometimes they smiled shyly, which was adorable.

Top resort!

I chose Whale Island because I wanted to avoid crowded places. The island is very quiet, the water is clear, and the air is pleasant. Sitting in the restaurant watching the sunset in the afternoon was one of the most beautiful moments of our trip to Vietnam.

What I loved most about Whale Island was the feeling of being surrounded by pristine nature. Every morning, I could watch the sunrise right over the sea and listen to the birds singing around the bungalows. The seawater was very clear and clean, perfect for swimming or snorkeling. The resort was built in a rustic style but still had all the necessary amenities. If you prefer luxurious modern resorts, this might not be suitable, but if you love nature, this is a wonderful experience.

The beach is clean, the water is clear, and it's perfect for swimming or snorkeling. I spent most of my time kayaking around the bay and relaxing in a hammock.

After a two-hour hike through the forest on Whale Island, the massage at the resort's spa was skillful and gentle, using local coconut oil. I felt the tension in my shoulders and legs melt away, and by the end of the treatment, I was almost asleep.

Whale Island Resort makes me feel like the island is yours alone. Perfect for disconnecting.

We left Nha Trang around 8 a.m. Driving along coastal roads with rice paddies and fishing villages. The boat to Whale Island Resort took about 20 minutes - the sea was surprisingly calm. On arrival, the staff welcomed us warmly, helped with our bags, and explained eco-friendly practices on the island. Over the next few days, we snorkeled, kayaked, and hiked small forest trails. The feeling of being completely isolated yet comfortable was unforgettable.

Whale Island Resort on Honong is simply unforgettable. The bungalow made from reclaimed boat wood, the crystal-clear sea, the untouched beaches, and the quiet of the island - everything was perfect. I loved the trekking, kayaking, and even discovering tiny starfish on the shore. The staff were welcoming and attentive. I know I’ll be back - this is the kind of place you want to return to year after year.

I've been to Whale Island a second time. The air is still as fresh and the people are just as enthusiastic as the first time. If you need a place to heal your soul and detox from work, this is the number one choice for you.

Walking along the shore, kayaking in quiet coves, or just reading under the trees - you feel completely alone in the best possible way. It’s a perfect escape for nature lovers.
