Atlantida Lodge

El lugar es muy hermoso, frente a la playa, los empleados del hotel son muy amables. Buen restaurante y había música en vivo.
El desayuno bien, creo que deben tener un poco más de variedad. Habitación limpia pero le falta mantenimiento. El entorno muy hermoso y tranquilo.

At the restaurant is the beach view which is nice. Staff were adequate but unresponsive to cleanliness complaint. Pool was out of service for 2 days which really should have been stated on booking site as I would have chosen an alternative had I known that. Breakfast was average, margarine instead of butter was provided. Minimal fruit selection. The biggest issue was my room which had worms and cockroach infestation. I told the front desk and they said they would have the cleaning crew check (pretty much telling me I am in Costa Rica so this is life). I let them know I had swept them out as they seem to come out at night time. Every morning I woke up to worms and cockroaches. Even when I blocked the entrance door with a towel at base. I was cautious not to walk around bare feet. The bathroom door was clearly infested as you can see in the photos.

Great stay

The property was very much like you're in nature. There were many wild life on the grounds. I saw a beautiful toucan up close and personal. The beach was nice and clean. I will definitely be staying there again.

Hermoso

PROS: El hotel está frente al mar, piscina muy bonita y segura, la comida del restaurante muy buena, desayuno muy bueno y el staff es muy servicial.

CONS: Habitaciones viejas y descuidadas, hendijas en las puertas por la que puede entrar una rana o culebra, y AC viejos que no enfrían. No hay TV.

Bonito hotel, la habitacion que nos tocó era bastante amplia, con A/C y baño grande.
Piscina de buen tamaño, desayuno buffet, sin quejas

El lugar muy bonito. Todo muy limpio. La mini refri es un plus, y el desayuno estaba muy bueno, es buffet y había frutas, varios tipos de pan, jamón, pinto, huevos al gusto y te los preparan en el momento. El precio (2 noches en Septiembre) estaba accesible y lo del desayuno me terminó de convencer. Volvería sin duda. Hay restaurante en las instalaciones, sin embargo no tenían ciertas cosas, por ende fui a un restaurante (se llama la terraza) no muy largo (3 min en carro) y estaba delicioso.

Met the owner and his sons , very nice people , well managed hotel with a friendly atmosphere!! The view from the top floor is amazing !! Recommend without a doubt!!

Bonito todo

Staff was very nice and everything was clean, it was nice to come back to a made bed everyday after a day out. The owner and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful! I had an amazing time and would return.

The pool and gardens were really good. The location is right across a small local road from the beautiful beach. The rooms are very dark; cannot read a book without a flashlight. Lots of construction going on and tools and cleaning equipment lying about. We were a bit disappointed considering what we paid.

Without Google we would have had a hard time finding it! In our room there was a shrieking noise which we assume was from the water system - it seemed to be connected to the toilet which sometimes did not flush well. We reported it at the desk when we left - really just a minor concern.
Overall we had a very pleasant stay there. Liked the restaurant having tables on the beach - shades of "Death in Paradise" on the TV!

A good example of why I only book 1 night at a place (when there are comparable options nearby). No hot water, the bed hurt my back, thin walls. Stay in Puerto Viejo instead

Beautiful hotel, very quiet and the beach is right in front

The staff we’re very friendly. We booked a Deluxe room but it felt quite basic and water from the shower went all over the bathroom. Termites were eating the beams in the ceiling and wood was falling onto the bed. When we told them at the front desk, they didn’t hesitate in rectifying the situation and changed our room. The next room was of a much better condition and this one felt deluxe.

Very nice laid back beach vibe..watch the water and listen to the waves while eating a meal. A no frills place that is kept up nicely and has an attractive appearance. Food and staff were wonderful. Rooms need softer pillows and walls are a bit thin but the layout was absolutely great and the room had a patio with a hammock chair as well as table and comfortable wooden outdoor chairs to relax in while listening to the birds and observing wildlife and the amazing colorful frogs and family of kittens. Staff were young enthusiastic and professional

Perfect place, i would have given a 10 but there was no hot water. I waited the next morning to say it, i should have said it when i arrived because they send someone right away and the problem was fixed in 5 minutes. I recommend this place.
