We paid $178. for a hotel room in a construction zone inside the hotel!
Pros:

Location is fine

Cons:

It is under MAJOR construction! We walked into the lobby to drop cloths over ALL of the furniture and on the entire floor. Some of the old tiles had been removed from the flooring, but not all so it was very difficult to pull a suitcase or even walk. And there was drywall dust everywhere! This is also the area where breakfast is served 😳

Relaxing, comfortable accommodations and a pleasant stay
Pros:

Room was clean and comfortable. There were adequate choices at the breakfast bar. The food was good. The lady that was at the reception desk both days was VERY nice and friendly. I liked her a lot!! But I don’t know her name.

Cons:

Because there is renovation going on that part was unpleasant. But it has to be done and, hopefully, will be an improvement to the hotel. We have stayed here before and we will come again.

Pros:

Room was extremely comfortable! Best bed I've slept in. Staff was so nice. A large group of us stayed for a funeral for a dear friend and they were so accommodating.

Going above and beyond
Pros:

My wife and I recently spent a weekend at the Hampton inn in ottumwa, Iowa. After we left, we discovered that my wife had left her address book and calendar book in the hotel room. I contacted the hotel and the general manager Tabitha carmona answered the phone. She was so sweet and helpful. She worked with me to arrange to have the materials sent to our home. We greatly appreciate her and her extra effort.

Currently being renovated but does not interfere with your stay
Pros:

Two front desk associates, Dulce and the Sunday morning associate, are truly the nicest and most personable employees that we have encountered during our travels. They both are very professional and guest-oriented.

Breakfast buffet has something for everyone. Breakfast hostess restocked items continuously throughout the morning.

Renovation is ongoing but did not interfere with our stay. We are excited to visit again to see the completed refurbishment.

Great room & coffee!!!
Pros:

The staff -Riva & Terry -at the Hampton Inn in Ottawa were very nice and personable. I have been known to be pretty picky about my coffee, the coffee was really good! Thank you.

Good for the amount of time we spent in our room.
Pros:

Breakfast was good. Bathroom was spacious.

Cons:

The sheer curtain was the only curtain that went across the window. There was a lot of light coming in from the surrounding businesses. There was a lot of heavy footsteps above our room.
