Pros:

Literally everything! The lady at the front desk was super sweet and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and they had a little area with frozen/cold foods that was helpful since the restaurant was closed while we were there.

Cons:

The only complaint we had was that the sliding shower door would stay closed all the way. Minor inconvenience.

Nice place, clean and friendly
Pros:

Ross Clark Circle is a mess, but it’s the only way to get from one place to another in Dothan. Certainly not the fault of the Double Tree. Wish their outside signage was bigger or brighter. Hotel sits a little off the Circle and if you miss the entrance, Wow! Very difficult to turn around and find the right entrance!

When I arrived to check in, the experience started off poorly. An employee who was sitting away from the front desk asked what I needed. When I told her I was checking in, she immediately gave me attitude and made me feel like I was doing something wrong. I had already confirmed an early check-in through Booking.com, but she kept repeating that check-in was at 4 PM. I explained that I was aware and that I had already been approved, but she continued questioning who I spoke with. When I showed her the email confirmation, she dismissed it and said it was a third party and had nothing to do with them. That response was very unprofessional and rude.

After that interaction, I honestly didn’t feel welcome at all. I was given a room on the 4th floor all the way at the end of the hallway. When I got to the room, the bathroom was filthy. The shower was disgusting, with visible hair (including what appeared to be pubic hair) and grime on the bottom. The room itself looked old, the walls were damaged, and overall it did not meet the standard I expect from a Hilton property.

Considering the room cost $222 for the night, it was extremely disappointing and definitely not worth the price. I only needed the room for one night before leaving the next morning, so I didn’t bother asking to switch rooms. Honestly, after the interaction with the front desk employee, I didn’t even feel comfortable bringing it up.

Overall, this stay was far below the quality and service I expect from Hilton.

Not like it used to be.

I always come to this location when I am in Dothan because of the cleanliness.

Cons:

This time the room I got had damages on the door like a chuck of wood was missing. I didn’t take pictures but I was in room 306. You can miss it when you open the door. The inside had damages all over. It also looked like the shower wasn’t cleaned so I didn’t use it. The gout was dirty, dirty shower glass and dirty shower floor. The vents were dirty. The microwave glass was broken, a stain on the window curtains, the charging plugs was so loose that my charger kept slighting out. The standard here has fallen. The rep seemed so uninterested in their job. I come here every year because I have family here and I have seen the constant degradation of this property. I don’t believe I will come here anymore. I will stay with family next time.
