Best Western Hotel du Lac Dunkerque

Hotel is located some distance from Dunkirk, which I did not understand when I reserved online. Room was rather small by US standards but similar to other rooms in Europe of the same price range. We heard noise from the hallway more than in other hotels. Bed was comfortable, but in my experience all hotels in Europe and many in the US have terrible pillows.

Très bon hôtel dommage que les extérieurs (tour du lac, terrasse) soient perturbés par le bruit de la voie express à proximité. Restauration, Literie et accueil du personnel excellents !

I stayed here with my teenage sons, the hotel was easy to reach by car and there was parking on site.
The hotel was quiet and safe, staff were very pleasant and customer focused. Beds were very comfortable, we had a great walk around the lake that was behind the property. Rooms very clean and welcoming.
Was easy to reach the War memorial from the hotel.
Would stay here again and would recommend it.

This was our first overnight hotel after a long drive from West Yorkshire and a shuttle crossing. Very easy to find the hotel lots of parking available, rooms were available straight away. Location is very relaxing being at the side of the lake . Staff were excellent and the only slight criticism is that the menu for dinner wasn't great but we managed. Excellent Breakfast hotel clean and tidy didn't need anything else.

The menu was very low on choice but thst was the only negative comment.
Location superb.

Staff were friendly. Property was rundown with unkept surroundings. Room was damp and amenities in the room poor. No water pressure in shower and curtains not wide enough to pull.
Food not great. Hotel in need of complete refurbishment.

The hôtel is very nicely decorated and the view on the lake and the nature is beautiful.
The women working there are so kind and always wanting to help.
And the breakfast is great...quality and diversity..pastries home made !

Im Großen und Ganzen war unser Aufenthalt sehr positiv. Schade war, dass es nur 1 TV Programm gab, ohne Ton, geschweige denn in deutsch. Ansonsten hat sich das Personal große Mühe gegeben, auch was die Unterbringung unserer E-Bikes angeht.

Outstanding stay at a great place!

Like most people, we chose this hotel due to its proximity to the ferry terminal at Dunkirk. The hotel looks a bit shabby from the outside but actually once you get inside it is much nicer. The restaurant was excellent, delicious food, plenty of options and very friendly service - there was one man, seemingly on his own, running the whole restaurant but he was doing a great job!
There is a lovely lake behind the hotel which was very pleasant to walk around.
The shower is in the bath and quite difficult to get in and out of, I definitely wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues.
I’d read reviews commenting about the military staying there but you don’t really see much of them and it really wasn’t an issue at all. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a stopover near the ferry terminal.

Eigentlich ein nett eingerichtetes Hotel, leider im Zustand etwas vernachlässigt. Alle Türen sind verzogen und nur mit sehr viel Druck und Lärm zu schließen. Der Klodeckel wackelte und die Fernbedienungen für den Fernseher waren rätselhaft. Bei unserer Ankunft nach 16 Uhr waren die Zimmer nicht fertig, das wurde aber sehr nett und zuvorkommend geregelt. Das Frühstück ließ kaum Wünsche offen, für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie herausragend.

Das Zimmer war in Ordnung.

The members of staff were very friendly and equally helpful when we asked for advice. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom not only had a bath, but also a great shower. The breakfast was great. I would definitely return to this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others visiting Dunkirk.

A beautiful hotel, lovely entrance and bar area.
The family room had 2 double beds and ample space.
Large bathroom and toilet area.
Receptionist and all staff were very polite and helpful.
We ate dinner in the restaurant and food and service could not be faulted.
