Very good Location near taksim square and the metro
Excellent service
Excellent breckfast resonable prices
The room is clean
This place was well organized, good friendly staff it was by Taksim square and istikal street.
The hotel had 8 levels and a basement, guess what we were in the basement! No windows but so much street noise! The room was quite fancy and clean except for the beds, i hate to be fussy but there was a small brown mark on the sheet.
The room was quite average for the price a small minibar, a safe, hangers... It was good just for sleeping there.
The breakfast wasn't bad, again average. Yet there were quite little tables, and the room was quite loud filled with other guests.
Rapping it up, it was okay not bad rooms not bad breakfast not bad location, but i forgot to mention how bad the Wi-Fi was IT WAS NON EXISTANT!!!!!
In a bad area just off Taksim Sq, A very very noisy night club opposite so no sleep. Air conditioning did nt work so v hot. Breakfast weird. Fairly clean but room very small.
Note to IGLU cruise customers Do not let them put you in this hotel if you are staying in Instanbul following a cruise. This hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel. The rooms are very small. We stayed there for 2 nights following a weeks cruise on queen Victoria and with 2 suitcases there was no where to put them. The wardrobe had no full length hanging space and the floor in the bedroom was cracked and peeling. On one side of the bed there was a chair, no bedside table and on the other side a stool. The view from our window was of a completely decaying derelict building. The other window had a curtain drawn over it and when opened it was just boarded up with plyboard.
Faros hotel is 2 to 5 minutes walk from Taksim. It is more like a decent clean 3 star hotel where some very basic amenities (suitcase stand, body lotion, iron) were missing. There was no closet but small shelves. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom shower had good hot water with proper drainage. Daily Housekeeping facility with two complimentary water bottles.
Hotel staff were always cooperative & helpful.
Buffet breakfast was indeed good. No restaurant on site or room service. But there are nearby eating places.
Outside hotel was very dirty & roads were broken with construction work ongoing. But the whole scenery changed 100 meters ahead.
Daily loud music at nearby building during our 5 night stay caused disturbance in sleep.
It’s been years kow that o stopped boking hotels and started taking airbnb instead, this year i had a busniness trip that was canceled last minute so i just bookee faros hotel in istanbul last minutes.. honestly it’s a good hotel, staff is helpfull smiling, welcoming and they speak arabic and english, my room was really clean, clean sheets, paper toilet, water eveyday was free and cooffe and tea was given everyday in a little kitchen in your room, the only problem i facedis the disco under the hotel that plays music until 5 am,, rhe first two days it was hard to sleepbut then i got used and because i was tiredi fell asleep,, breakfast was okay also fresh fruits, eggs, coffee salads, veggies etc
I will be back for sure to this hotel
Nice boutique hotel located near taxis square. Rooms are chic and staff is very friendly. They have a really good breakfast as well.
Good location. Very walkable. Helpful staff.
Excellent places to live. Very courteous and friendly staff
Not the first time will always come back
Very bad management and doesn't care about guest satisfaction, we booked and paid in advance for 5 nights 5 guests, we faced a problem in the airport and couldn't travel and we asked for cancelation refund, we asked to deduct for one night due to date of arrival passed already and refund the other 4 nights, they refused to assist us with a definite NO! Very poor way to deal with guests that lost every amount they spent on their short vacation! Never booking again its terrible management we spoke to the manager himself and he said ABSOLUTELY NO!!
I was appalled by this place. After staying at over 10 hotels in the last 2 months I couldn’t believe it. The staff are so rude. I pointed out problems with the room such as holes in the floor, dirty beds and a strong smell - however, the staff were so rude to laugh and not take any responsibility. Not only this but they were talking about us in a rude and impolite manner to each other - not knowing we speak fluent Turkish and can know exactly they are saying. I reccomend everyone avoids this place
It was not as clean as expected.
Don’t do it, terrible hotel
Average and old building.
There's a lot of music sounds coming all night,
Breakfast not fresh.
My biggest problem You can easily hear the sounds in the next to you other room,
Location very good close 5 min walk taksim.
For family not good because to many Arabia people walk in otell, but for single person fine cheap anyway
Thank you.
I asked for a refund and they refused. So I booked somewhere else.
I thought Taksim was far so booked another hotel in Sultanahmet.
The hotel didn't even refund despite us not coming to the hotel and informing them way in advance.
Good location. Excellent customer service. Rooms are quite big size. High speed WiFi. Taksim square and Istiklal street are just 3 minutes walk. Breakfast is average though. Metro station is 5 minutes away. For the price, it’s worth staying there.
Very good hotel excellent stuff
The Faros was to us by Iglu cruises as a 4 star hotel as part of our cruise holiday. The hotel is definitely not 4 star.
That said, the rating on the sign at the hotel was ‘special category’ and our room was very comfortable, if a little dark, and it was clean. There was a kettle and tea/ coffee in the room.
The furniture in the room was functional/ industrial.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast had plenty of choice- something to suit visitors different cultures.
The street is a bit off putting with what look like derelict buildings and rubble about and the front outlook is a bit grim but it is close to Taksim Square and transport links.
