Recommended for Intramuros (best there is!)
Pros:

We visited the Philippines for Intramuros so this hotel is the best and perfect for this trip as it's very convenient walking to all important, historic places within Intramuros. The breakfast is nice offering local and international dishes. The restaurant on the 3rd floor offers delicious Italian and local dishes. The staff are stars of this hotel. They are very welcoming and helpful.

Cons:

Live music on the rooftop restaurant kills the atmosphere. The sound is turned up too loud and the singers were not particularly good (subjective). It's like people go there to see a concert, not to eat, not to chat with your family or friends while having a nice meal. We decided to go to the one on 3rd floor instead for both nights we stayed at this hotel. (This is not about the hotel but this is our observation: nice restaurants both local and international in Intramuros tend to close quite early, latest would be 7pm.)

Fantastic experience!
Pros:

The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Very friendly and professional.. the food and the restaurant was excellent! My room was very clean and comfortable.

Bayleaf was a safe place in a good location
Pros:

I chose the Bayleaf from online reviews and from its location near historic sites. I stayed a week on a solo trip. The facilities were quite comfortable; the restaurants good and the staff kind and welcoming. I especially appreciated the doorman Elmer Ibarra. He greeted me warmly on my return to the hotel and I felt like I was returning home. Welcoming me each time was a simple but much appreciated gesture.
I also waited until my last night to have dinner at the restaurant on the roof. What a mistake! The view was stunning, the music delightful and the food delicious.

Perfekt gelegen in Intramuros für Old Manila. Super Dachterasse mit Ausblick. Intramuros kann sehr gut fussläufig erkundet werden, bis hin zu Chinatown. Wir können es nur empfehlen, vor allem wenn man wenig Zeit hat und Manila auf die "schnelle" sehen möchte
