Very disppointing
Pros:

The accommodation was OK for what it was...basically just a donga-style room...but it was nothing like what was described on Booking.com. There was NIL wi-fi (as compared to the listing that said wi-fi was available everywhere and at no cost) no balcony; and no in-room entertainment

Weipa donga
Pros:

Not much to like.
The single room was a donga. As soon as I opened the door I could smell the mould.The air-conditioning was on 22 degrees which was very cold 🥶 and during the night 🌙 I turned off the air-conditioning. As the smell had gone in the morning I think the mould was in the air-conditioning. I also opened a window. There were insects in the kettle so I cleaned this before using the kettle to boil bottled water ( bore wate in Weipa). Luckily I brought my own mug and tea as there was one crockery mug and 2 sachets of coffee only in the room. Surprisingly once i was asleep 😴 I slept well and the single bed was quite comfortable. I slept on top of the bed with a throw rug over me a the sheets looked dodgy This was the only place left on short notice in Weipa. $160 p night
