Hugely Disappointing & never again!!

It is hugely disappointing that after 4 years of coming to the Fogliano we had such a disastrous visit- we were only booked for one night which was a relief given how bad this visit was !
To start with we booked two junior suites and my room on entry I noticed ants on the floor as I went to the bathroom there was thousands of ants - the room had not been cleaned properly and the bins were not cleaned and attracting this problem- in disgust I asked to be moved to another room which I had to wait for a few hours for this to be arranged. The eventual room provided was a lot better but still a few ants were in the bathroom.
The following morning we were desperate to check out and had our breakfast which was part of the cost - omelette and croissants- we left disappointed and not happy with thr experience!
I then received a text as I was on my way to Rome to say that the omelette and croissant was an extra charge to be made and despite previous years it was now cited the buffet had changed and these were now chargeable items! I refused to agree payment on this and the manager acknowledged this change of what was a standard breakfast item-
All in all- despite previous years of enjoying this property we would never return! The hygiene in the hotel was unacceptable and it was a real shame for us to have such an experience!

This restaurant is a true gem. They offer fresh, authentic Italian fare with a menu full of great food options that never disappoint.

But while the food is fantastic, the standout feature—and the singular reason I remain a loyal, returning patron—is Anna, the Maitre Di Sala.

Anna is the gold standard for front-of-house service. She consistently transforms a simple meal into an exceptional experience. Every interaction is defined by genuine respect and professionalism. Her management of the dining room ensures that service is not just timely, but perfectly paced—dishes are delivered and cleared on time, every time.

Most remarkably, she is profoundly attentive. Anna doesn't just respond to requests; she anticipates them, often knowing what you need before you even think to ask. This intuitive level of care fosters an atmosphere of true relaxation and luxury. She curates a flawless and welcoming ambiance and deserves immense praise for her dedication and unmatched expertise.

Very nice experience and Davide was very kind and professional with our team.
Will definitely come back next time to enjoy the delicious pasta with lobster.

We had dinner at the hotel and the service from Ale was amazing. The cocktails he suggested tasted great and were a lot of fun

Pros:
The room is very clean. Reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and wait staff are outstanding and you cant beat the view. Food is delicious. The beach is nice with towels and umbrella provided.

Cons: the wifi is okay at best. The tv in the rooms seem to never have connection. The cooler items are a bit pricey if you drink/eat them.

All in all its a awesome place to stay and would recommend to anyone and everyone. I cant wait for my next visit.

Fabulous resort. Very relaxing and professional. Stay, Beach, Food , Entertainment five stars.
I use to enjoy my couple, family and business time. Never deluded.
Food is top , wide choice of restaurants, rooms sea or lake view are comfortable.

Hotel pulito, camera spaziosa e ben condizionata. Abbiamo utilizzato due volte il ristorante dell’albergo e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. Cibo ottimo e personale attento. Da rivedere assolutamente la gestione della spiaggia che lascia un po’ perplessi sull’assegnazione degli ombrelloni. Il secondo giorno abbiamo dovuto insistere per avere un posizionamento accettabile in spiaggia dato che il nostro ombrellone, che ci avevano garantito per tutto il soggiorno, era stata improvvisamente ceduto a terzi senza alcuna spiegazione (un bug informatico a detta della responsabile).

It was good last year i use to go there every day for the beach and food but this year the service and food very bad and they increased their prices but food quality are not good anymore more I don’t advise anyone to lose money for no good food and service

The hotel is nice.We had booked the smallest room and indeed, that was what it was, Really small. It had a window to the road and the lake behind. The bed was excellent and so was the shower. Staff very friendly. As stated by other guests, on Saturday and Sunday afternoon the room vibrates to the very loud music but it stopped at 8:15 PM. By far, the best is the restaurant. The food is outstanding and the prices extremely reasonable. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed and decorated. Included breakfast is an extended continental with every thing else at a cost. The restaurant and its seaside view is worth the visit. After departure I realized I was charged 30 Euros a day for parking while I parked on the street and at quite a distance from the hotel. Upon check in they did not even mentioned that the hotel had parking. I contacted the hotel and they promised that I will get it refunded.

We stayed at this hotel in May. Staff are all nice so I didn’t want to complain but this hotel was awful.

The hotel claims to be a 4*. I’d give it a 2/3*. I booked a junior suite but not sure I got it as their website claims the junior suites have both sea and lake views plus an extra room - we had a sea view but no extra room. There’s a bad smell in the room if you don’t leave windows or air conditioning on. Cupboard hanging space too tall for even my husband to reach. They give you a rod to reach the hangers. No drawers. Bathroom mirror old and edges are all brown/discoloured. Balcony railings are rusty. Shower leaks, grout is mouldy and wall is flaking and cracked from the water which leaked.
Rooms only cleaned in the afternoon after I complained that it hadn’t been done - around 2pm. Amenities never replenished even if non were left. No complimentary water. We stayed 5 nights and sheets were never changed.
We came on a Saturday and that night was loud. On Sunday they have happy hour from 4-8, our room was vibrating from the music. I even recorded it.
Breakfast from 7:30-10:30. However one morning the breakfast was totally cleared by 9:45. I asked why and they said all guests had come down. We were still sitting there. Also same morning they were busy cleaning the windows 2 feet away from us while we were eating. I complained about the breakfast so we were given sparkling wine with olives and popcorn.
Forget about the water sports, volleyball, shower or any type of beach service. We were lucky if we could get a chair and towel - unfortunately even with sunscreen we got burned as they had no umbrellas. We had to go to the front desk and they called someone to give us towels. I asked them to give me 2 towels for the beach in my room each day to avoid this. This only worked that day! We had to keep reusing the same towel. Beach was left dirty - my husband asked for a rake to clean the area around us but of course they didn’t provide one.
There’s a small pool/hot tub on the third floor - it was locked everyday.
I wonder if the service would have been better if we hadn’t paid the whole stay in advance? I also booked a suite hoping for a really nice room to celebrate our anniversary. I will never come back.

HOTELL GREAT, BUT AREA NOT SO NICE

Amazing breakfast, beautiful setting on the sea, all employees very professional and helpful.

Ridiculous load music and fireworks until 3:00am.

As a regular visitor to Latina -the Fogliano hotel is definitely the best place to stay. It is situated on the outskirts of Latina by the sea - so it is not a central Latina hotel!However, that is the charm and the beauty about this place! It offers fantastic service, has great rooms overlooking the sea. Very good staff who are so attentive and willing to help at every opportunity and definitely the place to be at the weekends where a lot of the locals from Latina tend to come to this hotel for evening drinks and to be seen! Love the breakfast which is a buffet every morning and it’s again it’s a place that I will continue to visit.

We stay here quite frequently so it always meets expectations!!! Great room overlooking the sea view and weekends are busy with a local crowd coming to the hotel making it very trendy !!!
Breakfast is buffet style and staff are all terrific and keen to assist any requests!!

The location is lovely, especially on nice, warm days where you can walk quietly on the beach and see the amazing sunrises and sunsets. The hotel itself is nicely appointed, with a boutique hotel feel. Our meals were very good and the sips were very enjoyable, too.

BUT.

The club vibe is NOT cool on an evening that went well into the wee hours of the morning. We are music lovers and concert goers, and the playlist from the band was awesome...but we did not need to hear it all until 2:00 AM at a volume that made our ears hurt. There should have been some accommodations for guests, or at least a "heads up," but between the extreme volume and the party-goers, it was a miserable first night there.

I will add that with a couple of exceptions from our wait staff at the restaurants, there is a distinct "I don't care about you, Guest" feel from the staff, including at the reception desk. Perhaps it is that we were the only Americans or among the handful of non-locals, but the chillness and absolute dismissiveness of the staff to paying customers was extremely off-putting. And there was a distinct anti-American tone that we all picked up. Might I remind the hotel owners and their staff that just down the coast is the City of Anzio, where nearly 10,000 Americans died to protect Italy from falling into Axis hands. Without the Americans, the staff of that hotel would not be speaking Italian today.

Everyone at Il Fogliano might benefit from hospitality training, customer service, grace and gratitude and an overall understanding of a tourism economy.

While the coast itself was lovely, we will not be returning to this part of Italy, nor will be staying here again. I would not recommend this hotel, but would leave my comments by noting that this is a missed opportunity to be a true beach resort destination.

Wouldn’t stay there again. It was very clubby. I don’t like club scene.

On the surface, this appears a 4-star hotel. In reality, it is a beautiful looking events venue for locals with a 2-star hotel above it.

I have never had a more unpleasant customer service experience. Ever.

The breakfast had the worst croissants I’ve ever had in all of Italy.

Their location is fantastic but I would recommend sleeping in your car over spending the night at this hotel.
