We took high speed rail from Shenzhen to Foshan but left one of our bags in the train after alighting at the Foshan station. We asked the duty manager Vivian from the hotel for assistance upon checking into the hotel. She was very helpful and responsible for calling the respective parties and spending much of her time till we got the bag back the next day. We really appreciate her assistance and sincere help. As a loyal Sapphire member of the Langham/Cordis group, I stayed at Cordis Foshan Lingnan Tiandi with high expectations, but the experience was deeply disappointing due to a series of service lapses.
1. Inefficient Check-in & Poor Attitude: I arrived at 2:30 PM, but the front desk was sluggish and the staff lacked the professional warmth expected of a 5-star hotel. Despite being well within the check-in window, I was not given a room key until 3:30 PM. Forcing a guest to wait an hour in the lobby without proactive updates is unacceptable.
2. Failure to Honor Pre-booked Requests: The most frustrating part was the total disregard for my baby cot request, which I had made three days in advance. Upon arrival, the room was not prepared, and I was later told they couldn't provide one. This reflects a severe breakdown in internal communication and room management.
3. Membership Benefits Overlooked: My Sapphire member benefit of a "Welcome Drink" was completely ignored. No mention was made, and no voucher was offered, showing a lack of attention to loyalty program standards.
4. Inadequate Service Recovery: To be fair, the Duty Manager did visit my room personally to apologize and explain the situation. However, the gesture stopped there. While I appreciate the verbal apology, there was no tangible compensation or service recovery offered to mitigate the significant inconvenience caused to my family.
For a premium brand like Cordis, "I'm sorry" is simply not enough when multiple service standards are missed. There is significant room for improvement in staff training and management.

前台服务: 2:30办理入住,前台效率低下且态度生硬。足足等了一个小时,3:30才拿到房卡。
硬件/预定: 提前三天备注需要婴儿床,入住发现完全没准备,后期沟通说没房,内部管理和跨部门协作存在严重问题。
会员待遇: 蓝宝石会员权益(如欢迎饮品)未落实,服务流程混乱。
管理反馈: 值班经理虽到房间致歉,但并无实质性的补偿措施。对于一家标榜高品质服务的酒店,这种事后处理方式缺乏诚意。
建议管理层加强员工培训,不要消耗住客的品牌忠诚度。
