The Mole Resort - Hotel rooms

Stayed with friend with disability. The Manor House is totally unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. No lift and many steps and stairs to negotiate. Bar area does not have enough comfortable seating, so not an area to stay and relax. The restaurant is only accessed by stairs or steps down, and the toilets are on another level.

Bathroom was very run down, not at all luxury

Not very clearly signed when you arrive on how to check in, and no lighting, so hard to navigate if you arrive at night time… Make sure to go to the hub first!

Had a junior suite in the manor house, very spacious & bay windows. Easy parking.
Bed base just slats, bit hard.
Bathroom bit tired, floor wonky, no night light had to put big bright light on if went to loo in the night.

The stay was incredibly relaxing and the room amazing. Sadly our safe remained broken the entire time.
Shelby and Brendan were superb teachers for archery and axe throwing- we had so much fun!

Fantastic restaurant

Fantastic room, very clean, great bathroom, all very nice and quite new, only issue was extractor in bathroom didn't work.
Ate in restaurant at night, brilliant food, not cheap but well worth the money.
Breakfast was also really good. Will be back if in the area.

We had excellent customer service from reception upon arrival after a muddle up with our booking by Expedia. They sorted everything out for us on our behalf.

In the restaurant, Ollie was very helpful, even though it was only his 5th day! He had a very pleasant manner and gave no indication that it was only his first week.

Amazing place with lots to do. Pool was disappointing as it was quite cold and the changing rooms were in a terrible state and unclean. Food was fantastic, service was slow but the waiter/waitress were so very friendly. Room was lovely and clean

The property and grounds are amazing, largely unchanged over 20 years and it is still a nice place for a short break, pretty relaxing in a beautiful setting.

Decent value in terms of price overall but - a big BUT too - if you expect great overall quality and luxury, it has changed a lot in terms of cleanliness standards and service compared to previous years.

Friendly service but lacking in terms of quality, speed and consistency across various service areas like Hub, Breakfast, Bar and Restaurant.

The pool area and rooms are tired and need refreshing. Restaurant food was nice, breakfast less so, and chaotic.

The range of easy access activities for adults and kids is decent but again, seems to lack a bit of quality.

Would return, but with different expectations, and would recommend too, but reservedly so.

We would like some money back, there was mould in the shower, shower broken and leaking all night keeping us awake, bed was two twin beds put together causing a separation in the bed and my partner falling through and hurting his head. I wish for a full refund I am so saddened by this.

Had an awful, overpriced stay at the Mole but the main fault was with hotels.com as we booked deliberately to go into the Manor House but on arrival got shoved out into a room above self catering cottages. Carpark and restaurant nowhere near. Didn’t get to enjoy any activities as all fully booked by the time we arrived and felt quite awkward and isolated.
Unfortunately one of us has a serious bladder issue and seeing your loved one walk 20 minutes back to a room wetting themselves is not romantic. Room itself looked tired, damp in the corners which smelt and wallpaper lifting everywhere. Dirty carpets and bathroom was mouldy all round the bath. Normally wouldn’t care but after spending nearly £500 for three nights - I’m not impressed.

Only positive would be the staff, all amazing and a real asset to the venue.

Fit, active people, you will love it here. Others, you won’t at all, families you will need a lot of money to keep kids entertained!!!

Beautiful place with lovely restaurant staff. However, communication with the resort was very poor—I emailed them multiple times and never received a response. Additionally, their method of charging my bank card was incredibly bizarre, resulting in a double charge and unnecessary complications.

Lovely break with our dog. Friendly staff views are wonderful, nice a quiet. Stayed in one of the hotel rooms. They are okay from the inside a bit tired on the outside.

Great all round experience, shower wasnt great, tried to book a massage but they didnt have staff.
Food was lovely breakfast and dinner, sauna and steam room was great and a well equipped gym.
The hub was good lots of reasonably priced foods and nibbles

Amazing staff and restaurant is a must
