Maryoo Samui Hotel

Me and my partner are travelling Thailand and we decided to stay here for 8 days to relax. We brought the ocean- view suite and the cleanliness was no problem, the cleaning staff were so quick and efficient and also very lovely - always smiled at us and said hello. However, the front of house staff were rude. The woman who I believed ran the restaurant didn’t look up from her phone ever, always huffed or rolled her eyes when we’d order food and just wasn’t very friendly. It always seemed like we were interrupting her which is such a shame because the food was lovely and very reasonable price. They both became more rude the longer we stayed keeping in mind how much we actually spent to stay there which left a sour taste for us. We noticed the woman in the restaurant being the most unprofessional as to a guest she clicked her fingers and pointed at him to go away when she was done talking. We checked out earlier this morning and she took our key and didn’t say a word, no hello to begin with or thank you. She really didn’t make the stay welcome at all.

Staff not around at all wasn’t welcomed properly at all. Showers moldy room had bad smell and air conditioning kept turning on and off. Was very dissatisfied and dissappointed

Maryoo is the perfect hotel for someone looking to relax with its gorgeous pool and comfortable beds. The food in the restaurant is affordable, authentic and delicious so would recommend eating there. However, if your looking to go to the town, it is too far to walk with taxi’s becoming expensive.

These rooms are incredible- 4 star feel for 2 star price- the pool was cool and refreshing, but there was no shade so it was hard to stay in too long. Must rent a motorbike or get rides in this area though. There is no convenience store close by but it is a nice retreat if you arent looking to be in the main area. The resort across the street ( I believe a Hyatt) let us use their beach one day though. We rented a motorbike to see the island which the hotel helped us with. It was a big change after staying near Lamai beach ( the best area and very walkable)- this is closer to chaweng beach (15 min drive) which was the second best. The restaurant food is delicious so that was great to have at hand- they close at 6pm so we ordered early for later if we were staying in for dinner. This room was so comfortable and luxurious and every room has a great pool view, we had pool access which was so nice if it got too hot.

First time customer of the Mar Yoo in an 'ocean view' room which, unlike the 'pool side' rooms isn't over looked by other rooms. I've just spent two comfortable weeks there with no complaints. The accommodation is comfortable and spacious and good value for the price point. Tiny niggle; I would have liked a bedside light and a chair and table on the balcony but that's not something that would stop me from staying there again.

We loved our stay here! The staff were extremely friendly and the place had a real community, hospitality feel. We got here right after Thailand opened up again after Covid, and the hotel had been closed for two years. Because of this, there were some slight cosmetic things that they need to fix, but this didn’t affect our stay at all and I’m sure within the next couple months those things will be upgraded. They helped us rent a scooter for 200BhT a day and answered any questions we had. The room is a great space. Bed was quite firm. Pool was wonderful. Random note: this property is like five minutes from the airport. An employee told us it should’ve costed 50bht for a taxi to take us to this hotel. They wanted to charge us 500bht for this ride, but we negotiated to 350bht. If you’re coming here via air, I would ask the hotel to arrange a pick up, it will probably be much cheaper.

Spacious room, there’s a pool and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. It was very nice

Maryoo was recommended by friends, we were told it wasn't the newest place in Koh nor is it by far the worst.
We were very happy and comfortable with Maryoo and the staff. Well organised and great value for the price. You cannot compare this place to other hotels we have stayed at in Koh, the people are amazing and will do anything for you. The meals are generous and cooked by one of the best chefs on the island! We are looking forward to coming back again this year.
Rooms are a good size with kitchenette and cleaned daily,beds are big and comfy, pool is a good size.
The hotel is about 3 kl ms from Chaweng beach center and easy to get to.

Staff are absolutely outstanding they are a credit to this hotel, the rooms are a bit tired but are clean and large the hotel is really nice and quiet and if I was to go back to Thailand I would stay here again the food in this hotel is amazing I would certainly recommend this hotel thank you all for a wonderful stay.

My husband and I stayed at Maryoo Samui Hotel for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff spoke English, was kind, thoughtful and very helpful. Every time we needed to go somewhere, they helped us to order taxis and would even recommend places to go and where to eat. We also ordered room service and ate in the restaurant several times. The head chef is an incredible cook. Everything was delicious every time. My husband needed to work while he was here and remarked on how fast the internet speed was.
We highly recommend staying here!

Booked this hotel on the Agoda website for our holiday in July 2019.

I was extremely disappointed when I arrived at the hotel. It was the same hotel as in the pictures on Agoda. But the pictures are taken a few years ago or they are computer animated.

In reality the hotel was in a poor state of maintenance, the pool was hazy and the hotel was almost empty, Also the location is not very convenient, no shops or beaches close by..

Don't get fooled by the nice pictures and low price on Agoda. They don't show many recent reviews and my own review wasn't published. That way they get a fake (in my eyes) high score and people keep booking.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and am very impressed and happy with the choice. The room is massive, with a little living area complete with a sofa. There's a kitchenette too. However, you're not allowed to cook. Balcony is big, and overlooks the pool. The staff are very attentive and a very happy and motivated lot. The swimming pool is not too big but enough to have fun, especially if you're in a group. The location of the hotel is about 3.5 km away from Chaweng beach/ main area. It's about 2km away from Cheongmon beach. Rooms come with breakfast, which in my opinion is not bad at all. A good spread is available: cereal, bread, fried rice, noodles, delicious thai curry (they keep changing every day), mixed vegetable, scrambled egg, sunny side up eggs, coffee, orange juice, and 2 types of fruits: sweet pineapple and watermelon. Internet connection is excellent. The bathroom, which is huge, is fitted with a rain shower, so having a shower is a joy. The hotel's landscape gives you a feeling of a tropical paradise. The are about 6 lots available in the car park and loads of places for one to park motorbikes. All in all, we had a fantastic time here. Highly recommended! Note: lots of geckos (lizards) lurking outside the room and along the walkway.

Everything was okey nothing to complain about. Worth of staying there for short trip

So we have been touring and been from Bangkok to Myanmar and then done a series of islands.

We are at the comfort of Maryoo. It’s quiet and off any main drag. It has a lovely pool and great staff.

They will have a moped delivered for use if you want for 250bht a day. It’s not close to anything special but really easy to get out and about.

They have also sorted all the Laundry so nothing to do when unpacking back in UK !

Great value for a suited room. Ideal.

We took our 2 children, ages 2 and 4 to Thailand and stayed at Maryoo for 5 nights. It was perfect. The pool is excellent, and the staff are so friendly. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the free breakfast was a welcome bonus.

My friends and I spent a week at the Marriott during our visit to Koh Samui. The rooms are spacious and clean, the food is fantastic and the staff is absolutely wonderful. They made us feel like family. Job is especially hospitable and very knowledgeable about things to do on the island. It’s about at 15 minute walk to the beach, but red trucks are easy to catch if you’re not up for a walk. Job will also call a taxi for you. While we were there they did a trial shuttle to different parts of the island which was nice. I highly recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Large rooms, big pool, good breakfast included, some of the staff extremely kind. Sharp price, certainly for booking 3 nights online.
Location is the weakest point, you need wheels to get around. Motorbike rent possible directly with the hotel.

I have just finished my trip in samui. I stayed in Maryoo hotel for 4 nights and that was a very peaceful experience.I want to highlight here some positive and corrective suggestions that may help travelers to choose this hotel.
1. Location: Very nice and Peaceful. Full of serenity.Choosing sea view rooms will be ideal. Little bit far from the crowded area(Cheweng beach) but not too far.
2.Room quality: Excellent room with balcony at a very attractive rate. But renovation is must as all the furniture got old. Another thing is power cut off very rare but if it happen no generator support there.
3. Hotel Staff: Few staffs but all of them were very helpful and Excellent behavior. Specially i would like to convey my gratitude to manager for arranging me rental car and motorbike at a cheap rate.
4. Restaurant: Delicious foods they make and restaurant staffs are very well behaved persons.
Overall i had a great time staying at maryoo hotel . Hope i will visit them again.
