Pros:

Its a pub with rooms not a chain hotel so that's what to expect. Very handy for the town and the nearby air base.
No fuss check in or out.
Pub area looked good with a mixture of bar area and slightly more relaxed seating area.

Pros:

Highly recommend! 👍🏻⭐️Spacious family room with a fridge and great view! Friendly staff, tasty food, and local shops & eateries were splendid. Perfect spot for a longer stay at Mildenhall with my granddaughter! Not far from the base that is plus!

Pros:

Easy to find, parking at rear. Staff friendly, check in easy. Hotel side a bit run down, room adequate. Decor and fittings dated but the room and bathroom was clean and tidy. Towels and bedding clean. Bit overpriced for what you get but it served its purpose.

Nice one night stay in historic pub hotel
Pros:

A lovely little building in Mildenhall. Certainly an historic building, and comes with the quirks of its age, but the team has done a brilliant job of adapting and making it up to date. Missing shampoo, and no hair dryer, but the bed was great and the shower fantastic. Kettle and tea bits were all I really needed :-).

Pros:

The staff are lovely and friendly and they accommodated my request for a quiet room. The check in and out process was quick and easy. I didn’t sleep so well because of noise from the next door’s TV until past midnight but obviously that’s inevitable and not the hotel’s fault. The room was spacious and had high ceilings but it’s quite tired and needs a facelift- a redecoration, regrouting, a new bathroom light cord etc. It does the job for the night though.

Pros:

The room that I was located was situated at the back of the hotel. The room was comfortable and a fan was provided due to the very hot weather, which was a great help. The down side.... below my window is the yard which is like a garden and unfortunately got very noisy at times during the evening when customers were out there.

Pros:

No hot water in the shower, I complained twice and was told it was old plumbing and I needed to time my showers to avoid peak use. The mattress had springs poking out of it. The windows are single glazed and the blinds/curtains are so thin they dont keep any noise or light out. I wont be back.

Pros:

Management professional, friendly. Room clean, and kept clean. Food poor. At times management paid more attention to bar guests than hotel guests!

2 night stay
Pros:

2 night stay with my husband at this lovely hotel situated on the High Street in mildenhall, we had a great view of the church and even though there was a main road I must say it was not noisy at all as others have mentioned. Our room was very clean and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. We had a nice meal on the Thursday evening, affordable and very tasty, unfortunately the restaurant only opens Monday to Thursday evenings and Sunday daytime so we decided to eat in town on the Friday, plenty of restaurants cafes around town all within 2 minutes walking distance. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting an affordable hotel with basic amenities and friendly staff. We will return later this year.

Overcharged. Noisy. Dirty.
Pros:

We booked a stay at The Bell Hotel for last night 16th May and for tonight 17th May.. We were assured when we made the reservation that we would be accommodated in a nice quiet room at the back of the hotel, especially as we are elderly and apparently other rooms wood be noisy. We were directed to Room No 3 at the front. Yes it was extraordinarily noisy! Both from inside the hotel but more so from the busy road outside with motorbikes tearing up and down til early hours of the morning. A bright street light also shone straight into the room and the thin, unlined narrow curtains did nothing to shade the room from the light. The sink in the bathroom was dirty. The room was cold. There were no extra blankets. No breakfast or dinner available even though advertised as hotel and restaurant. No staff on site during the night and only cleaners available in the morning. We stayed one night (last night) and left. £85 per night for small twin dirty room is bad but we have now paid £170 for one night as had paid in advance for 2 nights. The bar staff were friendly and helpful.

Pros:

The mattress is horrible, the sink is dirty, the carpet is dirty and needs a deep cleaning from the entrance. I don't want to imagine the other rooms.

Disappointed not value for money
Pros:

Room 14 plug did not stay down in wash basin sink. Shower did not work. Bath too small for anyone over 5ft 5in. No hand rails on or above bath. No slip mat in bath caused one of us to slip over. Double bed mattress on the right side sunk into bed. Toilet chain lose missing screws. Can't fault cleanliness but disappointed would have expected basic amenities to be adequate enough to wash/shower/bath. Not value for money should really be given a part refund. No breakfast onsite. Evening meal barman wasn't interested in acknowledging us as we were wanting to dine. More interested in the few locals. So we left and dined elsewhere. Did leave a list of issues for this room

Saturday lunch
Pros:

Perfect place to meet for lunch! Had a choice from the lunch and tapas menus which we decided a selection of picky bits was best for us. Very tasty and full of flavour.
Was nice and busy for a Saturday afternoon with friendly staff & customers. Pub felt full of life!
Will definitely visit again soon ☺️
