THE TRAIN ruined the next day for me.
Pros:

THE TRAIN. It’s the worst. I can’t believe this is not much of an issue for other guests. I was in room 314 (closest to the train) and when I checked in the staff member asked me “are you a light sleeper?” Yes, I am, I replied. Very. She told me the train comes through a couple times a night and it’s just “how a train sounds”. NO. It came through at least 5 times, loud horn 5 times each, and woke me up all darn night. Why did she ask me about my sleeping when she was just going to give me this horrible room anyway? Ruined my next day.

A Nice Stay
Pros:

We recently spent five nights at this property and report being very pleased with our overall experience. It afforded the full range of this Marriott property including a smooth check in, a specious, clean suite, pool, hot tub, laundry etc. Complementally Breakfast was basic but satisfying, the location was convenient but getting in and out of the parking lot was challenging because of a steady stream of high-speed traffic. Dana Point was only a ten-minute ride away. We were only a few minutes from downtown Capistrano where we visited the famous mission and two outstanding restaurants (L'Hirondelle & El Adobe) Pricing at the Inn was competitive and the entire team was attentive and professional. I want to recognize Alex Tate for responding so well in finding several items we left in our room. He thankfully is arranging to send them to our home.

Very disappointed in the room size and smoke smell

It was located conveniently by the freeway

Cons:

When booking with a third-party it was misleading and when I booked a room, it said it was a room with the Jacuzzi tub in it and when I arrived they claimed they didn’t have any of those. I paid way too much money for a room they didn’t even have and they didn’t even give me a discount because of their misleading add for a room very disappointing

sex stains and zero responsibility by hotel
Pros:

got in bed, discovered sheets were covered with sex stains. Called desk, a person showed up and handed us a pile of sheets expecting us to handle. We were already disgusted but when they tried to just hand us sheets, we were done. from that point on, the local asst manager tried to downplay the issue, when we filed a complaint, they just backed up asst manager. tried three more times with corporate, same thing. So much for Marriott taking responsibility and taking care of long time customer. we had asked for our stay to comp'd. they offered 5,000 points, then eventually credited one night of 4 night stay. We would have been happy with 2 nights comp'd, but was not the case

Dana Point LUXURY - Dog Friendly
Pros:

An amazing stay in Dana Point! First time here and this location is amazing - there. BUT THE BEST - the service is amazing. We interacted with Alexander, and he took care of us! We will absolutely stay here again when we return!

Amazing stay will be back again a stay away from home
Pros:

My mom and I came here to celebrate our thanksgiving a day early and the property is extremely beautiful local near all amazing restaurants and places to visit

The staff on property were super sweet and helpful they welcomed us during our stay and accommodated us very well we have a feeling this will be our main residence inn in San Juan Capistrano to visit in the future

Also some name mentions, Alexander was amazing, on the phone early with helping me with my issue with my mom leaving behind a package after we checked out and also the pool and Jacuzzi had an beautiful breathtaking view
