Sijainti mielenkiintoisessa ja historiallisessa ympäristössä. Upeasti kunnostetut ja uudistetut rakennukset. Arkkitehtuuri miellytti. Ympäristö mukava iltakävelylle tai lenkkeilylle: patoalue ja Hupisaaret aivan vieressä. Hotelli ja sen palvelut hyvää perustasoa. Hinta oli vähän kalliin tuntuinen, mutta paikka oli samalla kulttuurielämys.
