Great location and value for money, high quality hotel
Pros:

Very nice room and very quiet. Everything I needed for a one-night stay. I thought it would be noisy as it is a pub but the rooms are at the other end of the building and very nice. Secure carpark was great.

Cons:

The fish and chips were not very nice but you get a lot of chips, which made up for it.

High Class on the High Street
Pros:

We were pleasantly surprised on arrival at the Red Lion in Radlett, after arranging for a parking space with the helpful and considerate staff, we were welcomed with a smile and shown to our really lovely double room. The room was very tastefully decorated and had a generous bed which was very comfortable and had proper soft pillows as well as a few good quality cushions for added comfort. The room size was great and we had a small sofa which we could use when lounging. I was pleased to see a decent (rainwater) shower and a good clean bathroom with all the accessories needed. We had real plants in the 'Bay Window' to our room and although we were over-looking the Radlett High Street, there was minimum disturbance from traffic etc. The coffee machine and mini-bar were a bonus for our stay, as well as the usual drinks sachet's and a fresh water bottle. Because we had a late night returning to our room we decided to order our breakfast via 'room service' which was provided to a very good standard and later we sat in the outside terrace (with a drink) and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere whilst catching some sunshine in comfort. Finally, the staff were always courteous and friendly, so overall a great place to stay - just a shame we couldn't stay for a few more nights.

A good stay if visiting friends or family in Radlett
Pros:

Great location one minute walk from Radlett Station which is on the Thameslink line into St Pancras Station and beyond. The room and ensuite bathroom were comfortable and well appointed.

Cons:

The staff are OK but unprofessional in their approach. At minimum expense they could be provided with a modicum of training and a basic uniform, if only a T shirt with the name of the pub on it. As it is they look slovenly and amateurish.

Fab location, and a room rich in comfort
Pros:

The room was spacious and very tastefully decorated. A super large bed which was very comfortable and lots of extra cushions. The bathroom and shower was excellent, plus it was great to have the convenience of a a mini-bar and an up to date 'Nespresso' Coffee machine. All staff were friendly and helpful. We arranged for room service at Breakfast which was done without fuss. The car park was also a bonus to us.

Cons:

It was a shame that there were no biscuits on arrival after we had been travelling some distance. A small red wine would have been a good addition to the range available as part of the mini-bar.

Perfect for us!
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Lion Hotel (2 nights) and were extremely satisfied with everything.
The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The pub was fantastic, offering a great atmosphere and a wide selection of drinks. We also really enjoyed the restaurant – the food was delicious and well prepared. Breakfast in the morning was another highlight and gave us a great start to the day.
What truly stood out, however, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help – it really made a difference.
The hotel is also very dog-friendly. Sadly, our dog passed away shortly before our trip, but we are certain she would have absolutely loved staying here.
The location is perfect as a base for visiting the WB Studios, which made our trip even more enjoyable.
A big thank you to the entire Red Lion team – you are doing an amazing job!
