Bathroom was a concern because of the steps and the lack of space to manoeuvre. The bedroom was quite satisfactory. Breakfast was good and the meal at dinner was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly.
No lift making it difficult to transport luggage.
Lovely room great location pub has lovely large garden… v dog friendly … staff friendly too
The ambience, the location, the staff, thw breakfast
Loved the complementary home-made flap jack in a dome and port in a cute glass bottle. Tagged like in Alice and wonderland. Staff very helpful with my ineptitude with the Sky TV remote control. Really lovely boho decor and comfortable bed. Oh and the blissful air con in the heatwave.
I was room 18 at the top, so some steep stairs to go up if you are older. Plus a slanted roof with a beam that I bumped my head into a few times. But I am clumsy!
Room was lovely, spacious, and clean. Lots of amenities in the room, and the pub downstairs was really nice.
No parking onsite, but there was a public car park nearby.
Décoration sympa
Tout près du centre
Confortable et propre
Bon pub
Chambre petite
Service lent au pub
The staff are totally amazing, very friendly & super helpful. The hotel has recently had an excellent revamp & looks & feels very smart but retains its cosiness & welcoming atmosphere.
Absolutely nothing not to like!
Lovely setting, clean rooms and lovely beer garden
Air conditioning, excellent shower, basket of goodies and honesty treats
All of the staff were excellent, the food in the restaurant excellent.
The only off putting point was the lack of a lift to the upper floors. It may be my fault for not reading the hotel information, but as both my wife and I are 73 it was a negative factor for us.
Great staff, beautiful room, lovely pub garden
Everything was perfect
Central location. Bed was comfortable. Coffee machine was good.
Noisy. A reading light by bed would have been helpful. No lift.
Great bed and AC
Staff attitude was extremely poor and left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately every single encounter we had with any member of staff left us feeling like an inconvenience with the exception of a cleaning lady who was extremely helpful and personable and ironically was probably the lowest paid member of staff.
Staff were great and friendly
A lot of noise late evening from streets
We liked the location, loved the food and the bed was very comfortable.
Bathroom in hotel room was a little tight for space and was two steps up to get into. Mum found it tricky with her arthritic knees.
Great staff, location and facilities in Exeter.
Breakfast is fantastic, would definitely recommend adding to your reservation if not included.
