Hotel Riu Palace Palmeras - All Inclusive

All staff were very kind and attentative. Buffet was abundant, but there were very little non-lactose milk products (like yogurt).

Amazing hotel which was sparkling clean. Lovely facilities with a massive selection of food each day (all inclusive), rooms were fabulous and staff very friendly. Myself and my family had a wonderful weeks holidays at the Riu Palace Palmeras and 100% will be back as soon as we can. Thank you everyone who works there for making this a special holiday.

We really like this hotel having stayed in 2023. We still think the staff are amazing but maybe not quite as many as before. Little places of wear showing that looked pristine before. Damage in lift, random lift announcements in the one. Room as expected. Serviced as expected. Food still excellent both in quality and choice. Entertainment very mixed in quality. Cocktails seemed more premixed at every bar this time and not as good as we recalled. Another thing we like to sit outside but there must be a way of keeping smokers and non smokers both happy. We found most outdoor seating of by both bar and Entertainment occupied by smokers whether an allocated or not!

Everything was perfect. Stayed with my family (8 people). The hotel is sparkling clean and modern. Rooms were kindly all upgraded to sea views, very comfortable beds with free soda drinks and beer in the fridge. The restaurant had a great variety of food (we stayed all inclusive) and in between meal times food was available at the snack bar. Staff were exceptionally friendly and well trained. This hotel would be pushing for a 5 star no problem. Thank you to everyone there for a special week and we will be back very soon.

An excellent hotel that is first class in all aspects of the service it provides. We can not fault this place as it provides excellent value for money coupled with great food and drink, clean and comfortable rooms and really nice and helpful staff.

Second time here in 3 years. And we are happy to say, this hotel is great in many ways and but it also could do much better. Its not a cheap hotel.

However, the all inclusive has slipped a little. The cocktails are made in a machine and are very syrupy. There could be fresh options available but I doubt they want staff standing there making cocktails.
When you pay for all inclusive in a top hotel, you want top quality.

The food is good for an all inclusive, you can't beat a Riu for its all inclusive food. We had a meal in the Krystal restaurant but the quality was far less than last time.

We have stayed in different Riu Palace hotels and you get different experiences, i feel Riu should have a blanket approach to offer the same experiences across all the Riu Palace hotels. Why have a brand name with different experiences.

The rooms and dining areas are feeling a little dated, they need some new furniture and maybe some fresh new colours. Its almost like a hospital feel.

The hotel isnt adults only but I feel they could offer an adult only zone on the smaller poolside.

The entertainment is very low key, they could offer more.

The late checkout is an absolute joke. €20 per person, per hour!! This is seriously taking advantage of families that might need to keep a room for longer. It would've been cheaper to book an extra night. Yes they have a great shower room, but that price is outrageous.

One last thing to say, which is selfish. It was our honeymoon. We didn't get a bottle of anything, a towel love heart or absolutely nothing in our room to say congratulations. I think this is the only hotel to offer any form of a congratulations for a honeymoon. We were a bit disappointed.

What can I say… skilled personnel, tasty food and great rooms. Very convenient location. Feels like 5*.

What can i say that hasn’t been said already riu palace palmeras is fantastic.I have mobility problems and use a rollator to get around and sometimes need a bit of extra help with it there was always a member of staff to help when needed. I would like to make a special mention to name but a few of which there are many, David and Fina on reception and our excellent room attendant room 508 .Food excellent and varied menu lunch and dinner,table service for drinks absolutely no restrictions on top ups. Our room was spotless good size with a spacious balcony and bathroom. Weather, not down to Riu returned to the Gran Canaria normal on the day after we arrived after a week of continuous rain . Thanks to all.

Fantastic staff,always helpful

Wonderful hotel and very attentive staff. The one area where improvement could be made is in the labelling of foods as my wife and I are both Coeliac and needed to know which foods contained gluten as we can only have Gluten Free. Sometimes this caused a slight problem although the staff were very keen to help.

Just Fantastic. Every last detail is thought about. Yes its more expensive than most but its worth every penny. The staff and their friendliness are unreal and you are never just a guest to them. They treat you best friends. Words cannot express just how amazing from the check in/out desk to the restaurant to the pool bar just how friendly and articulate they are. We looked forward to seeing them most days especially the restaurant

A massive thank you for the bottle of champagne put in our room for my wife's birthday with a little note. Thats the attention to datail they go to. Would not consider anywhere else remotely in that resort and why we have stayed there on numerous occasions.

Two little things to add however and mentioned this several times before though :-(... the maids can be extremely noisy outside your door at 8am and of the many many channels on the TV english guests only get 1 in english...sky news...why !!!. Predominantly german guests but it is the best hotel in the best location and we dont even look elsewhere when we go each year.

This 275-room refurbished RIU hotel is ideally situated in Playa Del Ingles, close to the beach and with easy access to shops, pubs, and restaurants. It attracts guests from across the European area, predominantly German, French and Scandinavian.
We stayed in March 2026 and had a very relaxing stay. This hotel is well run, with attentive staff and they are eager to please with added value service.
The rooms in the main 7-floor building are smart and modern, with double-basin bathrooms and a great walk-in shower. A low-level night light is automatically activated for those who need a night visit to the WC.
Tea and coffee facilities, a fridge with cold drinks and bottles of water are delivered to the room and topped up every 2 days.
A room safe is included.
Maid service is very good
If you want a good sea view then you need to be on the 6th or 7th floor.
Balconies are a reasonable size and have easy-relax chairs. Perfect for the afternoon sun.
The main buffet restaurant offers plenty of space and of course outside seating. Waiter service is provided for drinks.
There is an à la carte restaurant for all guests to book once a week.
There is also a pool bar offering drinks and all-day food.
There are 2 large pools with wonderful garden designs, plenty of palm trees, and plenty of sun beds.
There is no daytime activity, no keep fit or entertainment team.
Only a couple of issues: there is no contained inside bar, the main bar is open to the elements and smokers are permitted to smoke provided they are not within the covered area. Smoking is not permitted around the pools.
There are not enough toilets once you leave the room. They are in the reception area and down at the far end of the gardens beside the Entertainment lounge which is quite a long trek. There are no toilets in the restaurant.
There is evening entertainment each night and bar music twice a week.
Finally, let me advise you that the new European passport verification system can, or might cause you problems. Don't underestimate how long it can take on the return journey to get through. Some people are missing their flights as a consequence and as the season gets busier the problem. will get worse.

However, I do recommend this hotel and as it is an all-inclusive venue it is very popular but worth it.

The Hotel was excellent, very friendly staff and every area including the super gardens were immaculate. The food choice was great, the biggest problem was knowing what to choose. All staff from receptionist, waiters and waitresses to the maids and other cleaning staff were very accommodating. This was our first Riu experience but it won't be our last. We are already looking to book somewhere for later in the year. It was my husband's 80th birthday and the Hotel surprised him with sparkling wine, a red rose and a towel folded into a heart. We both really appreciated the thought.

Beautiful hotel and surrounding gardens. Entertainment was pretty good in the evenings. Food on the whole was excellent especially the soups. Jose Maria in the restaurant was fantastic a real asset to the hotel , so friendly attentive and funny ! All the other staff were really pleasant and happy to help but Jose stood out - excellent!!

My wife and I had a great time at the Rio Palace Palmeras. Excellent sea view and room, the food for vegetarians was superb and varied. Loved the all inclusive and the staff were always attentive and always pleasant. Only one concern relates to other guests reserving sun beds with towels and then not returning for hours!

We are here now. It is really lovely well maintained hotel. The staff are helpful and attentive. Entertainment isn’t great but that doesn’t bother us . The big letdown in this hotel is the smoking policy. Smokers can smoke outside the bars, Around the pool , etc. As non smokers this is annoying as it’s uncomfortable sitting outside at night inhaling other people’s smoke. They need to have designated smoking shelters like most other hotels. We wouldn’t return for this reason.

Visited the hotel for a five day vacation and I only regret one thing, I should have stayed much longer! Extraordinary service and housekeeping, Food and drinks of high class and friendly staff in all aspects, Very nice pool area, calm and peacefull garden.

We had a wonderful stay and would like to thank the entire team for making our visit so enjoyable. Everything from check-in to check-out worked perfectly. The staff were friendly and professional, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it was clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel welcome.

Our room was comfortable and well maintained, the facilities were excellent, and everything seemed to run smoothly throughout the hotel. It really made for a very pleasant and relaxing week.

If we had to mention one “challenge” during our stay, it would actually be a rather amusing one. The “Do Not Disturb” sign that hangs on the door handle appears to be somewhat vulnerable to the Atlantic breeze. During the week the wind managed to carry it away twice.

But honestly, if a wind-sensitive door sign is the biggest issue we encountered during the entire stay, that probably says everything about how well the hotel is run.
