How to drive to accommodations by car:
On the highway E17/E40 direction “Gent” take the exit “Gent Centrum” (B401).
Follow “Alle Richtingen”, then turn left under the bridge and follow direction “Eeklo”.

This is the “Sint Lievenslaan”. Continue down this street “Charles de Kerkhovelaan, Godshuizenlaa, Marterlaarslaan, Einde Were” (1.6 mi).

At intersection “Einde Were - Nieuwewandeling” turn right, at the traffic lights (direction Centrum-Gevangenis).

You are now in the “Nieuwewandeling (N430)”, continue down this road to intersection “Brugsepoortstraat”. Turn right here.
Follow the road “Hoogstraat” until the end.

You will then arrive at “Poel”. Turn left, into the Drabstraat”

(!) Attention, you are now entering the car-free zone (!)

It is important to call the reception of the hotel to ask for an available parking space or pass along the license plate of the car.

Turn left, onto the “Jan Breydelstraat. Halfway down the street you will find the parking lot, on the left side.

Great location for visiting the centre of Ghent.
Pros:

Location was brilliant, right in the centre. Friendly staff. There’s a lift. Comfortable bed.

Cons:

Couldn’t book parking at the hotel in advance but found a (cheaper) open air car park just round the corner where we were able to park over night.

The location is simply perfect. Room was a bit small but clean. The staff was helpful. The rooms have a coffee machine and a water heater for tea.

Sensationelle Lage des Hotels in einer höchst aktiven Umgebung. Viel zu sehen rund ums "Gravensteen"
Pros:

Im "Gravensteen" gibt es eine (!) Suite auf dem Dach. Über drei Treppen wohnt man da über Allem. Direkte Sicht auf die Burg und ganz Gent. Sensationell.

Cons:

Manchmal müffelt das Wasser in Gent. Auch in den Rohren der Häuser.

Excellent séjour .
Pros:

Nous avons bénéficié d’un surclassent à notre arrivée et avons dormi dans une très belle suite en duplex sous les toits . Très confortable et vue magnifique . Excellent petit déjeuner . Localisation top dans le centre historique . Très bel hôtel rénové avec goût .

Pros:

Location ampia, accogliente e completa. Pulita e ben illuminata. Vista panoramica eccellente. Servizi igienici, molto buoni, forniti e puliti. La consiglio.

Cons:

Essendo sotto tetto, la camera andrebbe fatta arieggiare prima dell'ingresso degli ospiti perché abbiamo impattato con una botte di calore esagerato.

Ligging top, ontbijt in orde en kamer heeft alles wat je nodig hebt.
Pros:

Het bed lag echt heel goed en het was een mooie kamer. Ook heel rustig terwijl we toch midden in het centrum zaten. Een aanrader!

Had a great time in Ghent, helped by a lovely hotel.
Pros:

Location was great to see all the sights in town. 10m to the castle!

Cons:

Stairs to my room. We had a lot of luggage. I was unaware my room had stairs. No offer from staff to assist with stairs. There is limited space to lay a suitcase. Instead of a wardrobe, a bench would be more practical for travellers.

Nettes Stadthotel in Toplage, freundliche Mitarbeiter, unser Zimmer war zum Schluß nur über ein enge Treppe zu erreichen, dafür hatten wir eine schöne Aussicht auf die Stadt, die Schaltung der Lampen war unübersichtlich,
