How to drive to accommodations by car:
On the highway E17/E40 direction “Gent” take the exit “Gent Centrum” (B401).
Follow “Alle Richtingen”, then turn left under the bridge and follow direction “Eeklo”.

This is the “Sint Lievenslaan”. Continue down this street “Charles de Kerkhovelaan, Godshuizenlaa, Marterlaarslaan, Einde Were” (1.6 mi).

At intersection “Einde Were - Nieuwewandeling” turn right, at the traffic lights (direction Centrum-Gevangenis).

You are now in the “Nieuwewandeling (N430)”, continue down this road to intersection “Brugsepoortstraat”. Turn right here.
Follow the road “Hoogstraat” until the end.

You will then arrive at “Poel”. Turn left, into the Drabstraat”

(!) Attention, you are now entering the car-free zone (!)

It is important to call the reception of the hotel to ask for an available parking space or pass along the license plate of the car.

Turn left, onto the “Jan Breydelstraat. Halfway down the street you will find the parking lot, on the left side.

Tolles Hotel mit hervorragender Lage
Pros:

Modernes Zimmer im historischen Ambiente, sehr gutes Bett. Reichhaltiges Frühstück. Optimale Lage direkt am Rand der historischen Altstadt.

Gutes Hotel und tolle Lage
Pros:

Tolle Lage.
Das Hotel und das Zimmer waren gut.
Für eine Städtereise hat das gepasst und wir können das Hotel weiterempfehlen.

Cons:

Eigentlich nichts besonderes…
Wir wurden im Nebengebäude untergebracht, das total verwinkelt war.
Der Weg zu unserem Zimmer war wie ein Labyrinth.
Der Frühstücksraum war ziemlich eng und laut.

Pros:

Habitación amplia con 2 estancias comunicadas, ideal para 4 personas. Todo bastante limpio. Desayuno era correcto y suficiente. Perfecto para recorrer el centro histórico. El hotel es muy bonito, y está justo al lado del castillo. El personal muy atento. Volvería sin dudarlo.

2nd night as we got the room we actually paid for

Cons:

They gave us wrong room. Should have be one superior which it wasn't. Second room had view of just builders rubble and barely any natural light. They did upgrade 2nd night but as we were only there for 2 nights it did take some sparkle away

Las habitaciones eran muyyyy incómodas pasaba una viga de madera sobre la cama, para llegar a la habitación era un laberinto, el baño no tenía corriente, papel higiénico no era nuevo. Lo que te muestran en las fotos no es lo que te brindan. Es caro para sus comodidades. No volvería !

La camera era pulitissima e molto spaziosa. Hotel vicinissimo al centro, da cui è facile arrivare ovunque.

Il prezzo della camera era abbastanza alto per una sola notte che abbiamo trascorso a Gand. Non eravamo a conoscenza che sarebbe iniziato un festival di musica, molto conosciuto in Belgio, per cui penso che il prezzo sia stato alto anche per quello.
La camera aveva una bellissima vista ma essendo sulla strada abbiamo sentito molta confusione fino a notte inoltrata.

2 nights In Ghent
Pros:

Great location. Quiet and cosy. Most of the staff were lovely. Nice toiletries. comfortable beds and room was very clean . The coffee maker was great. .. no milk for tea but this seems to be the same everywhere in Belgium.

Cons:

No mini bar or even water in the fridge. Couldn't stream any entertainment and only news channels available. Check-in was unfriendly and the member of staff only registered us for 1 of the 2 nights booked which locked us out of our room on the second night. It was sorted quickly after visiting reception in the main building.
