How to drive to accommodations by car:
On the highway E17/E40 direction “Gent” take the exit “Gent Centrum” (B401).
Follow “Alle Richtingen”, then turn left under the bridge and follow direction “Eeklo”.

This is the “Sint Lievenslaan”. Continue down this street “Charles de Kerkhovelaan, Godshuizenlaa, Marterlaarslaan, Einde Were” (1.6 mi).

At intersection “Einde Were - Nieuwewandeling” turn right, at the traffic lights (direction Centrum-Gevangenis).

You are now in the “Nieuwewandeling (N430)”, continue down this road to intersection “Brugsepoortstraat”. Turn right here.
Follow the road “Hoogstraat” until the end.

You will then arrive at “Poel”. Turn left, into the Drabstraat”

(!) Attention, you are now entering the car-free zone (!)

It is important to call the reception of the hotel to ask for an available parking space or pass along the license plate of the car.

Turn left, onto the “Jan Breydelstraat. Halfway down the street you will find the parking lot, on the left side.

Ein Hotel mitten in der Stadt. Das war für uns sehr schön man konnte Abends die Stadt genießen.

Cons:

Unser Zimmer war nur über eine steile Treppe zu erreichen

The staff and location were excellent; without them, my review would be significantly lower.

Cons:

Parking was full, so we parked far away and walked in the rain. The common areas needed repairs, and the AC struggled to cool the heat. The TV remote was dead, and the TV wouldn't turn on.

Proper hotel op een prachtige locatie maar veel te druur voor wat het was

De ligging was geweldig, tegenover het gravensteen in het centrum.

Cons:

Het personeel was zeer jong, onervaren en ongeïnteresseerd. We kregen amper uitleg.

Agréable séjour.
Pros:

L emplacement de l hôtel est idéal pour visiter la ville. Bien que dans l hyper centre aucun bruit ne nous est parvenu de la route (double fenêtres). C 'est une demeure bourgeoise pleine de charme. Le personnel est serviable et souriant. un ascenseur a facilité les déplacement de mon époux qui marche mal.

The hotel experience has been extremely disappointing. We were given a room that was significantly smaller than the 20 sq. m. stated in our reservation. In addition, the windows faced directly onto a wall, which was completely different from the room shown in the pictures when we made the booking.

When we informed the reception that the room did not match what we had reserved, we were told that the hotel was fully booked and that nothing could be done. We then asked to speak with a manager or someone responsible for handling such issues, but the receptionist told us that there was no one available on weekends who could assist. Considering that weekends appear to be one of the busiest periods for the hotel, it is difficult to believe that there was no manager or responsible staff member available on-site.

To make matters worse, the room was uncomfortably hot, and there was a very unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom.

Overall, the room did not match the description or photos of what we booked, and the hotel’s response to our concerns was completely unsatisfactory.
