Hotel Riu Palace Tres Islas

We have just had a lovely weeks holiday here
The hotel and its sister hotel the RIU Olivia sit at the edge of the most beautiful beach and the national park

Yes this has caused local concerns so it’s understood for years but for the sake of this review the location is beautiful

In a taxi it’s max 5/10 mins from Corrajelo which from when we visited last about 6 years ago has increased in size and is a nice visit for an evening walk and shops

The hotel is About 45 mins from airport in a taxi for transfer

Lots of negative traffic on here about the hotel that’s it’s dated etc

The hotel is spotless
A little dated but the actual rooms are fab
The most storage we have seen for some time in a room
Some moan about the shower
The pressure is fab yes it has a curtain so what ! We have stayed in modern hotels with a glass box for the bathroom which gives little or no or privacy

The staff right through the hotel are so nice and friendly all of the time and are a credit to the hotel

You have pool towels you can change daily
Yeh pools are cleaned daily and the gardens are very pleasant

Loads of sunbeds and the usual sunbed trip in the morning but lots available

The hotel is very flat and has ramps and is very suitable for anyone with mobility issues

The food is plentiful and very good we had no issues with cold food

I particularly liked the smoked salmon and also the very good icecream choices

We also tried the à la carte which was very good with great service

Just some minor niggles

The difference in drinks quality for AI and half board made no sense
The gym needs to be open by 7am 🕖 rather than 8am and really could do with a full refurb

The wellness centre is very underrated and needs a bit of a refresh also has a fab shower area for hometime if a late ⏰ flight

Move the book swap area to where it can be seen please or tell people where it is

The daytime snacks bring them into an outer area it’s very underused

These are very small issues

We had a fab time and most definitely 💯 would return

Die Lage ist super. Aber alles veraltet. Zimmer gibt es nur 5 mit
Duschbad. . Obwohl ich Zimmer mit Dusche gebucht hatte, musste ich Aufpreis für 1 Doppelzimmer bezahlen. Dieses teure Zimmer lag dann auch noch neben dem Aufzugsschacht, der ziemlich laut war. Alles in allem nicht sehr erholsam. Dafür war das Essen gut.

Staff were amazing, especially Dylan in the piano bar. Rooms clean, but in need of an update, which I think is coming. View from rooms is amazing, beach, sand, sea fantastic. Our 3rd time here. Breakfast, lunch couldn't ask for more but i struggled a bit with evening meal. Also needed a couple of microwaves to heat up your food (I do like mine hot) saying that the soups were tasty, twas coldy our first 3 days !!! Late April. Evening entertainment was just right for us, my husband even got up on stage for a sing/song. On his birthday we returned to our room to find a bucket of proscecco and choc chocs Thank you to Florencio Carreno and her team. Looking forward to seeing you all after the refurbishment

Per noi il soggiorno è molto ben strutturato, sono tutti molto gentili con la clientela. Ottima la soluzione di colazione e cena tutto a buffet molto gradevole e ricca.

Exceptional hotel with super-friendly staff, superb choice and quality of food at the breakfast and dinner buffet. Excellent and good VfM choice of wines for dinner. Free bubbly for breakfast and a glass each upon arrival and check-in. Very comfy and homely "common" areas. Superp pools, one with an rough circumference of 100m ( heated) one of similar size unheated. Pools were never too full with swimmers and at 1.20m depth very safe. Comfortable sunloungers (German beachtowel principle applies here, LOL). Rooms very well furnished and beds super comfortable, views from balcony stunning. Excellent room cleaning service. There's a gym room and a sauna in a separate annex with superb views over the north beach and the sea. BUT ABOVE ALL: The white sand beaches to the north and south of the hotel and the Sahara-like sand dunes are out of this world!!! The Riu Palace and another Riu are fortunately the only hotels and buildings here, so one feels rather privileged. I have used booking.com for over 15 years and the Riu Palace is the very best I ever booked!!

Just love Riu hotels and especially this one. Just returned from our 2nd visit and it was truly amazing. Staff are fantastic, so friendly and can’t do enough for you. Fuertaventura is a beautiful island. Will definitely return.

We have been returning to this hotel twice a year for over 15 years. Cleanliness, service and food have been second to none. We have learnt after speaking to Samir that it is to undergo a much needed renovation later this year. We did notice how lounge and terrace furniture are looking shabby. The pools especially need a complete overhaul. Entertainment was mediocre and low key. We also thought the food was not on a par as previous stays. Hubby always had cooked breakfast but bacon was usually so hard it was inedible. Another annoyance was the designation of non-smoking areas on the terrace, which were regularly flouted by smokers and people vaping! We watched some waiters taking bar orders from them and they said nothing. I had to ask a waiter on one occasion to ask a smoker to move as the smoke was wafting on us! There is also a marked difference in half board and all inclusive. Wine is served in different size glasses. Why, when we have already paid £1,000 in advance for our all inclusive option! We do not co sure a vast amount of alcohol and felt that the all inclusive guests were definitely served differently and approached differently - not by all waiters though. Julio in particular was very attentive and kind. I hope that the renovation breathes new life into this once stunning hotel as we would like to spend many more years returning here. It is a magical location.

We have just returned for the 9th time. We had the best time ever. The staff are absolutely lovely , kind caring and make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave. Every member of staff makes an effort 100% to make you feel special. The cleanliness is second to none.
We look forward to returning in October. Already booked.

My wife and I have just enjoyed a lovely return holiday at this hotel. Yes, it is in need of a little refurbishment in terms of some of the interior and exterior paintwork and some of the carpeting, but it still has such a classy, elegant feel to it. It’s in a superb beachside location just outside Corralejo and the staff, food and cleanliness all deserve five out of five maximum ratings.

We treated ourselves to a junior suite with a large grand terrace, which included a couple of padded sunbeds as well as a table and two chairs. Plenty of space to move in and out of the sun and perfect for us as we prefer this to sitting poolside and having to get up early to reserve a couple of beds as we could see so many other guests doing this.

So, we very much hope to return and want to conclude by saying a big thankyou to all the catering, cleaning and bar staff and also to the lovely and so efficient teams on reception and in the main dining room and the speciality one.

PS One minor area for improvement. We had paid for all-inclusive as well as the best class of room in the hotel and it seemed wrong that you had to pay extra to enjoy any of the small selection of drinks in the room’s minibar.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning setting right on the beach. We could find no fault at all. The hotel and grounds were kept spotless at all times and the staff were amazing, always helpful and efficient and seemed to really enjoy their jobs from cleaners, dining room and restaurant staff, reception staff and bar staff were always cheerful and professional.

We wanted a few days in the sun and chose the Riu Palace Tres Islas after it was recommended by friends
We chose a sea view room given the location right on the beach and were not disappointed
The setting and view from our balcony was stunning
The room’s decor was a little dated but perfectly fine
The staff were all tremendous, all happy and very helpful
We took an all inclusive package for four days and the food was varied, well cooked and plentiful
Overall we had a marvellous stay

This is the latest of many happy stays at this great hotel. We love the unique location, surrounded by sand dunes, beach and sea. The staff, service and food are all excellent. Rooms generously sized. Please to hear that refurbishment is scheduled for later this year.

I booked this hotel at last minute as I always do and stuck with RIU hotels.Heard on reviews that the hotel was a bit dated . But when I arrived at hotel I was upgrade as being a gold RIU member to a lovely suite. I can honestly say that I loved the old fashioned charm of the hotel . The staff were excellent, the food was very good and the drinks were branded and very nice.
I’ve stayed in very high star hotels with RIU and this is up there with them.

Absolutely rubbish. We came here to relax and there are gardeners using very loud chain saws during the day. Apparently they don’t know anything about the electrical ones. We have complained to the management but they haven’t done anything about it.. Avoid this hotel unless you are found of chainsaws .

Very nice 7-night stay at this Hotel. All staff are friendly and very helpful. Luz at the pool bar definitely looks after people. During our first couple of days and nights, the room felt quite cold, even with extra blankets, but reception handed us an electric fire, which did the job. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.
