Hotel La Riviera de Atitlan

El hotel es hermoso, la atención es muy buena, pero las instalaciones son muy viejitas, seria importante modernizar un poco.
Lo que si, tanto cama como almohadas muy incomodas.

I had had a panic attack when i got to this hotel to find no flexibility regarding my room being available before 15h, although they did offer me a cup of tea. This is a huge hotel, my block was the original central one. Three nights, and every breakfast i had to wait over 35 m to get my breakfast as large groups were always given priority despite my being there first. Jan 25, afternoon shade by the pools, but the pool was warm and the hot tub clean. It's an old hotel, and the serving staff are friendly enough although reception a little frosty. Very unclear on the fridge bar, no prices and outrageously expensive. My error but even so, no prices and was told " help yourself" as no prices assumed free.

Lack of transportation

did not have music on the pool area , room service did not clean the room not a single time wile stay, front service never answer a phone to get location if you young no suggest to stay there

A skyscraper building (I am on the 14th floor) located by the lake.
Not situated at walking distance to the village.
Large room and medium bathroom size.
Gorgeous room view over lake and volcano.
Clean but not suggested for the allergic (carpet in the whole room, no anallergic bed covers).
No air conditioning nor heating (!).
Bed table far from bed.
Stable internet connection.
Fixed showerhead, rainfall.
Available in the room: a complimentary bottle of water.
Not available in the room: water kettle, coffee maschine, hairdryer, iron/iron board, bathrobe, slippers, safe.
Power supply socket at bedside, adapter needed for EU travellers.
Amenities: shampoo, soap bar.
Fridge and TV English language channel available, both exceptional as the country standard does not include it.
Very kind and helpful staff.
No breakfast buffet, the vegetarian option is a fruit platter (see picture). My suggestion is order that only if you are vegan. The normal breakfast includes bread, jam, fruit and eggs.

Difficult to get around.

The hotel is located a "tuk tuk" ride away from the masses. This suited us just fine. We had the most breathtaking view of the lake from the balcony of our hotel. The staff is super helpful (we had encountered a small issue with the water) and within hours it was all resolved.

The facilities had pools and hot tub but we did not take any advantage of it as our stay was just a few days and wanted to take advantage of Lake Atitlan and all of her surroundings. Incidentally the Reserve is only 5 mins walking distance from the hotel where we were able to zipline for a few hours.

People are nice , the hotel is clean, it’s a little pricey the food is not included

We ate in restaurant 3 times. service was slow. Had to ask for milk for coffee 3 times. They didnt check on us throughout our meals. Front desk people were excellent. There was confusion about the towel cards.

The view was breathtaking, and the staff was very cooperative in getting us the best room available (after booking on short notice). Some of the facilities are under renovation, but I really liked the extras (free water craft, table tennis, and board games) for all. I want to go back.

There’s no A/C in the building and the Rooms are too small for the price

Good experience

Employees were pretty short and rude. Only the lady who helped us check out seemed happy. They gave us a semi dirty floor towel which we didn’t think was a big deal but then they wanted to charge us when we checked out. I don’t want to spend my money in a place that is making me feel like an inconvenience.

el personal de recepción son muy estrictos en la toma de decisiones, no tiene nada de cortesia, muy buena atención en el restaurante, hubo mucha bulla el sábado por noche, no dejaron dormir
