Pest issues
Pros:

I had high expectations for this hotel, given that it's part of the Marriott brand. Upon entering my first assigned room, I noticed a slight cigarette smell and some unpleasant odors coming from the bathroom sink. Feeling uncomfortable with the cleanliness, I requested a room swap, and the front desk quickly arranged another room for me, which I appreciated.

However, the next day, after returning from a long day out, we were shocked to find three dead cockroaches in our new room: two by the door and one in the bathroom. It was a rainy day, and we suspected they might have come through the pipes, but it was still very off-putting. We immediately contacted the front desk without touching the dead bugs, and the staff came to check on the situation. They brought a small box of candies as an apology and explained that the weather might have contributed to the issue. While I understand that weather can affect pest activity, I believe a hotel of this caliber should have better pest control measures in place.

As compensation for our unpleasant experience, the staff offered us two complimentary breakfasts, which was a nice gesture.

Pros: The location is great, within walking distance (15 minues walk) of a nearby shopping mall and the convention center. The views of the water and West Lake are beautiful, making for a pleasant morning or evening stroll along the riverbank. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of options, including Chinese, Western, and Japanese food.

Overall, while there were some positive aspects, the cleanliness and pest issues left much to be desired.

Great hotel to stay in Huizhou
Pros:

Excellent hotel!
The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable.
The location is perfect, with beautiful river views and within walking distance to the mall.

The gym is well-equipped and spacious, with machines in great condition.
The pool and sauna were also fantastic.
YumCha in the Wan Li (hotel resturant) was great. Pricer but views and food was worth it .

Minor cons - lobby is on the 29th floor so two sets of elevators to get in and out of hotel.

Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel has an incredible view of the East River from the French windows opposite the lobby, and the West Lake in Huizhou in the distance. The guest room is spacious and bright, the washroom is dry and wet separation, the bedding is clean and comfortable. The check-in and room service staff at the front desk are very enthusiastic, have a great attitude and are very efficient. I like it.

江景、湖景、河景，都是一流。
前台的服務和禮貌都很好。咖啡廳的職員服務態度也專業和有禮。清潔房間的也有禮和願意協助的態度，都使我們滿意。游泳池和健身室的前台，那位當值的小姐職員都非常有禮和有耐心講解和服務。

Nice hotel overall, but lacking. Main western restaurant only open for dinner on weekends.

Furniture that contains the bathroom sink has paint falling off. See photo.

非常一般，一晚惠州接近一千人民幣嘅酒店，可以話物非所值。

整個房間一個 USB 充電都冇，亦沒有床頭鬧鐘，房間得一個’大’字，但書枱超級細。

唯一可取係外望景觀超級靚。
