Hotel Santa Caterina

In definite need of refurbishing. Bathroom had old shower head and casing and door was missing! Security not good as reception not fully manned from 9pm. Only access was by dark car park with open staircase which led directly to all rooms!!
However, staff very friendly and helpful as far as they were able.

Air con was plug in sort, needs venting to prevent leaking. Back blew out hotter air than the room, hence the need to vent . Water spread across the room, using 3 of the 4 towels. Gave up using it, the room was 27, no way of cooling.
Shower door doesn’t close, more water to clear up!
Nobody around to sort out. We booked 2. Nights as we attended concert in Pompeii . Andrea Bocelli. Left the next morning.

So close to church and park . Good breakfast, conditions of the spacious room. A good value for money hotel.

We only stayed one night however it was everything we needed, helpful staff, good location, parking if needed, breakfast included was a bonus. Thanks.

A high price for a poor quality. There was a lot of noise from the street in the late evening. Dirty bed sheets with holes and rotten furniture. The breakfast was unappetizing (no fresh juice, no fruits, cold omelette and pizza, some cakes). Friendly staff with insufficient English language skills.

Awesome locatio for walking to Pompeii, restaurants and shopping. Beautiful piazza for a stroll at night. Helpful staff.

Very good hotel, with parking, just a few minutes walk from the Pompeii archaeological site. Good restaurants and coffee shop very nearby. Also very close to the central square in Pompei town itself.

The hotel room was dusty. The shower had molds everywhere. It was a terrible experience.

We stayed in this hotel about 9 years ago and returned. It does the job for the price, even if showing a bit of wear.
Receptionist was nice, helpful. Great location for eating and trains.
I reckon I’d come back again.

I thought I had revieeed at the time - the hotel came to our rescue after being let down by a nearby bed and breakfast. I haven’t booked last minute before but everything went perfectly. Very helpful staff.

The front desk lady is very nice and helpful. But the room is old, has very very strong smoke odor, the breakfast service lady is quite rude.

Firstly, the good. Hotel is in a great location, everything you could need is within a short walk. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was kept clean every day, including Sunday. The room itself was a bit tired but still good value for the money paid. Only 1 plug socket in the room was working but we worked around this. The view from the balcony was incredible. We did not use the breakfast facilities so cannot comment on this. My only real disappointment was that when i booked this trip, it was for me and my son so i booked 2 rooms. Despite it saying on expedia that the rooms can be amended / refunded up to 72hrs before your stay, when i contacted expedia 1 week before informing them that due to an operation my son could not travel and my partner would be travelling instead, i was told that the rooms were single occupancy and could not be changed. When we arrived, we had been allocated 2 large rooms and ended up paying for a room that we did not use and that the hotel then sold to someone else. Not a gripe about the hotel as such, just the difficulty in communication with expedia and a bit disappointed as i book a fair few trips with them. The room had a queen and a single bed and was definitely not single occupancy.
