Truly a beautiful hotel with an excellent location and exceptional service. We booked the most basic room, and it was still stunning, with incredible views and a small balcony. Breakfast was included and was excellent, and the live piano player added a lovely touch. They have a complimentary club room with soft drinks, juices, wine, and a few small bites. We ate dinner at the hotel on our first night. While it was a bit overpriced, the setting was beautiful, especially at sunset. Only note would be the beach club could use some improvements, particularly with the chairs and menu options, and the pool is very small, but overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return.
The Bellevue is a historical hotel perched above the Gulf of Naples yet still in the center of Sorrento. The common areas are architecturally stunning particularly their restaurants. Go for a drink in the afternoon supremely made by a skilled bartender or dinner and you'll be rewarded with a direct view of the sunset. Breakfast however was our favorite. Located on a stone veranda with sea views, a piano player, and incredible buffet including a full frame of honeycomb.
The rooms have similar views of the sea. We were upgraded to a gorgeous suite with two balconies that was difficult to leave. Good news is you don't have to. Watch the sunset from the balcony, order room service, and have a private dinner with a view.
There are random works of art that the hotel has accumulated over decades, possibly longer considering it was built in 1820. Everywhere you go, there's some sort of art piece which makes the hotel fell like staying in a museum. There's the requisite beach club and other amenities, however, the staff is what I remember most. Not only did they upgrade us and walk us through the features of our room, but they researched and presented several options for a private boat tour of the Amalfi coast. They booked it, gave us directions on meeting the boat, and followed up on our experience afterwards. They really cared that we enjoyed ourselves.
From the front desk, concierge, porters, restaurant hostess, waiter, etc..the staff was attentive and accommodating. We had relatives join us for breakfast after we already sat down and they put together a larger table and made our relatives feel like guests. That service permeated the hotel and a big reason we would go back.
The Bellevue Syrene is a historical hotel with a story, beautiful common areas, overflowing with Italian art, run by a fantastic staff that is only a few blocks from the center of town. The only drawback is it's difficult to leave!
Stunning views, amazing hotel, the most beautiful restaurant views.
Hotel Bellevue Syrene is a stunning, clean, and perfectly serene property. The views of the water and garden in front of the hotel are spectacular, the staff is super friendly.
A special, heartfelt thank you goes to Rosa! She is a very sweet young lady who went completely above and beyond for my daughter and I! Rosa arranged a wonderful room upgrade for us and was incredibly generous in helping us celebrate my daughter's birthday. Everything about this hotel is great, but Rosa’s exceptional hospitality truly stole our hearts. We cannot wait to return!
This was pure perfection and my favorite hotel out of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip to the Amalfi Coast and Capri. The staff were beyond professional and the room, views, balconies exceeded my expectations. It was expensive, but worth every penny. It felt like we were staying in a palace and the staff greeted us and treated us so well during our stay, even sending us a bottle of champagne upon our arrival.
Nothing, apart from it ruined it for the rest of the hotels we stayed in as literally nothing would compare to the attentive service and impeccable design of the hotel. There was nothing at all that I could say that was negative.
10-10-10.
Piano at breakfast, caves, beautiful food, scenery and staff.
You get more than you pay for
This is the type of place I dream of going back to. Not only were the views amazing but the staff went above and beyond to make sure we didn't lift a finger. Rooms were cleaned twice a day with tons of amenities (little snacks, multiple bottles of water, fully stocked fridge, and more). We called the front desk about several things we feel like a hotel normally wouldn't fix and they had a solution right away. They brought us a mattress pad, there was a pillow menu, room service food was actually some of the best that we had on our trip, they ordered takeout for us and brought it back to the hotel with their porter. Their breakfast room overlooking the sea was the most serene place out of our whole two weeks in Italy. They have someone playing classical music on a grand piano every day at breakfast as well. All staff are incredibly polite. Can't emphasize all the amenities and included snacks, drinks, and food enough. The views from the beach club were also to die for. Worth the money!
From the moment you enter, everywhere you look is beautiful. The scenery, the hotel, the art.
There is nothing to not like
Impressive hotel. We loved everything
Service
Food
Beach
and of course the legendary Gasparone senior service manager !!
Bellevue Syrene is a beautiful hotel. Many high end features and you are truly treated like family. Everyone is very attentive and helpful. We had a few issues, but they were corrected quickly or we adjusted to them. The view is outstanding and in a great location. Pricing in Sorrento is extreme so it’s not cheap, but if you have the money and want elegance choose Bellevue Syrene.
We try to visit this outstanding hotel for a week or two every year. We have just finished our latest visit of two weeks, and are delighted to say that our stay was as wonderful as always, with welcome touches and innovations added. The design, decoration, amenities, food, drink, concierge and other services are all exceptional. A step is rarely missed; in fact, I cannot recall that happening even once over the years. But above all, it is the warmth, kindness and professional excellence of its people that are among its most distinctive features and are among the reasons why this hotel has such a following of repeat visitors. We simply can't wait for an opportunity to return. And our thanks, in the meantime, to Claudio and his deficated team for what they do.
Cliff top cocktail bar was amazing at sunset, great array of cocktails and not overly expensive.
This was the first time we had visited Sorrento and we were very happy that we picked the Bellevue. This is a beautiful - and unusual - hotel. Located right on the side of the cliff, the spacious rooms were stunning. We stayed in a junior suite which looked as if it had been refurbished the day before we arrived. We had two beautiful balconies, both overlooking the sea and Vesuvius. The room was enormous and fantastically fitted out. Anything we needed was promptly attended to.
We ate in the restaurant on two of the evenings and both food and drinks were excellent. The food is particularly standout, with a great menu and clearly a very talented chef.
We loved Sorrento as a city and will definitely return. When we do, we will certainly return to the Bellevue as it is perfectly located for exploring. It is minutes from the centre of the city, close to the harbour and to many great restaurants.
Thanks to the team for looking after us so well - including an impeccably organised motor boat to our next destination.
Incredible! Staff and venue! Incredible!
My family has never been better cared for by a hotel than we were by the Bellevue Syrene. This is, of course, expected at such a price point, but the warmth and friendliness of its staff, beauty and comfort of its accommodations, countless small amenities and exceptional spaces and views made our stay simply exceptional. Special recognition to BS's concierge, Antonino, was invaluable in helping me plan excursions that maximized our time on coast and focused on our particular interests. What a glorious place. We hope to visit again.
We first stayed here, at the recommendation of a local, in 2016 and - Covid excepted - we have visited every year since. It is truly an exceptional place and is our “home from home”
Everything we look for in a hotel is embodied in the Bellevue Syrene - unrivalled location, fabulous long-serving staff, exceptional property /accommodation, together with an understated but sophisticated and customer - centric experience.
We are almost reluctant to post this as we’d like to keep it as “our secret” - but it truly deserves every accolade and support. We have experienced many good stays elsewhere in the general area (eg Capri, Positano etc) but it is unmatched. The staff are key to our enjoyment. We hope to return for many years to come ….
We booked a deluxe room with a sea view and were not disappointed.
Upon arrival we were greeted at the gate and taken to the club lounge to enjoy a drink and check in.
After this we were taken to our room which did not disappoint. The room was beautiful, very spacious, clean and well decorated. Complementary mini bar in the room was also a nice addition.
The location of the hotel is brilliant close to both the marina and the port as well as bars and restaurants.
We also enjoyed the bar and restaurant within the hotel.
Overall a brilliant stay in lovely surroundings. Would recommend
My husband and I had stayed at the Bellevue Syrene about 5 years ago, and based on the staff and adventures we had, we gave our son's honeymoon stay there. They called us raving about it.
They were treated with kindness, professionalism and a truly magical, memorable and unforgettable stay. They said " it was the best experience they had in Italy". Bellevue Syrene is a truly magical place and I can't wait to return.
