The staff were brilliant. They couldn't do enough for us. They helped us plan trips and made lot of useful suggestions.
Lovely family run hotel staff amazing..rooms clean comfy beds would definitely stay again
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Costa in Pompeii. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was lovely, and the staff were exceptional. A special thank you to Carman and Mario, who went above and beyond to help us find our way around and made us feel so well looked after.
If you don't want to use public transport, budget for taxis, but definitely use the ones recommended by the hotel as they're much better value than random taxis.
The resident dachshund was a lovely bonus and always gave us a warm welcome back in the evenings. We'd happily stay here again and highly recommend it.
What a lovely friendly hotel. We arrived very late and they were very accommodating! The highlight was the dachshund obviously 🤣 very clean, mini bar was a bonus. Breakfast was lovely
Staff couldn’t do enough for you would highly recommend such a beautiful place
What makes this hotel so special is the staff that work there. Every single person we encountered was warm and friendly - making us feel right at home in Pompeii.
Carmen and Nadia were both incredible. They went above and beyond in their service to us and arranged several trips and taxis for us - giving recommendations and even showing us what markers to look for when explaining directions on Google street view.
The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the station, and a 40 minute walk from the ruins of Pompeii, so perhaps not the best location for someone with mobility issues - but for us it was great to walk off some pasta and hop on the train to Sorrento and Castellammare! Staff from the hotel even gave us a lift to the station on one occasion, which was so kind - again truly going above and beyond. The trains are regular and much cheaper than the uk and you have limitless food options in Sorrento, though we ate at the hotel 2 nights and really enjoyed our food.
The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable - with free air con. Our only complaint is that we’d have loved a kettle and some instant coffee / tea in the room, I think this would really be a nice touch, as we are Brits with a tea addiction who needed to pay €3 for our evening cuppa downstairs.
Overall, we had an amazing stay here and it’s a great option as a base if you want to explore Pompeii, Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano and day trip to Capri like we did.
Highly recommend for a few nights and thank you Carmen and Nadia again for your exceptional recommendations.
Da gentileza e simpatia dos funcionários.
Da região onde o hotel se localiza.
From the moment we entered the reception of the Costa Hotel Pompei we were made very welcome. Nadia very kindly took our luggage to our room & Carmen gave us a welcome drink & snacks. We settled into our very clean, comfortable room before our evening meal. Carmen suggested a delicious seafood pasta dish. Throughout the week Nadia, Carmen & Mario were wonderful, always happy to help by ordering taxies, giving tourist advice etc. The Hotel is a little out of the way for all tourist attractions, in reality you cannot walk anywhere, other than the railway station, which only takes 20 minutes. The taxies are reasonably priced & the train is really cheap. There is a very busy road running close by, however, the electric shutter on balcony window works wonderfully to suppress the noise & the air con was certainly appreciated. The team we did not meet, do a great job behind the scenes. We would definitely return to this hotel. As they say on the door Arrive as guests, leave as family. We loved it.
We visited the Pompei Archeological site near Naples, and we stayed at the Costa Hotel. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We found that this hotel had all the amenities of a higher rated hotel. It was very clean , comfortable, and very staff friendly. Breakfast was outstanding. They had everything from yougart , fresh fruit, and traditional eggs. It is conveniently located about 10 min from the Archeological site’s main entry.
The staff was very helpful, kind, professional, and accommodating. They helped us order pizza for dinner since it was a Sunday evening, and most restaurants were closed.
I highly recommend Costa Hotel to all my friends and family. I will definitely stay there when we return again to Italy. There is so much history in Pompei.
We so enjoyed our stay at the Costa Hotel. The stay was made extra special by all the hotel staff, Mario, Carmen, Nadia and Michela went above and beyond in the service they provided. Recommending places to visit, organising transport and itinaries. Always a warm welcome, first rate service, excelling our expectations (despite being seasoned travellers). We look forward to returning to this excellent hotel that is such good value for money.

Bardzo mila obsluga,smaczne sniadania,blisko ruin.Polecamy.
Just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at Costa hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, giving advice and information, organising taxis etc.
Rooms were immaculately clean.
Breakfast was huge continental selection with lots of homemade breads and cakes. We were just out of season, the restaurant was only open last night of our stay. Food was traditional and tasty.
On last night we had a big storm, loud bangs and lightening very close. The electricity went off for a short time and it was reassuring to see that the emergency lighting and fire doors all worked as expected.
Views from the sun deck are lovely.
Please can potential clients note that this hotel is approx 10mins from Pompeii archaeological site in a car. Approx 15-20 euros one way by taxi. We knew this before our stay and chose this hotel as small, family run B&B hotel, but other guests were disappointed that it was not in nearby walking distance. Also the local train station is currently closed, so the nearest train station is pioppaino, a 15 mins walk away.
Thank you Costa hotel for a lovely stay.
The hotel is tucked away from the main busy street and is a delightful find. The staff are friendly and professional, particuler thanks to Carmen and Mario who were very helpful and always seem to be on hand! Quiet and relaxing and tastefully decorated. The room we had was clean and although small it was functional, the shower cubicle was tiny but ok. Even though our room backed onto the busy bypass the noise was not intrusive. It is an ideal location to visit the local tourist sites although the nearest train station was closed, the walk to the nearest train station was a 25 minute walk along the busy main road. All in all a lovely little hotel to visit.
We booked the Costa Hotel in Pompei for a last minute visit to see the Pompei Ruins and Hurculaneum, and surrounding area, via a booking online agent, for late february to early March. The Hotel is tucked away in an authentic part of the the edges of Pompei, away from the hustle and bustle. We were greeted with smiles by the owner and team, this is a family built and run Hotel, and you can see and hear they take great pride in giving you a great experience. The rooms are comfortable, and spotless., with. ensuite facilities, and we had a small balcony with views of Mount Versuvius.
We were staying during off peak, so not many other guests, but they still opened the breakfast bar for us in the evenings to enjoy dinner from their home cooked menu.
They have their own shuttle bus, and will drop you at the rail station if you dont want to walk, at no cost. The nearest station is very close, but closed during our stay for renovation/ repairs, so its a 25 minute brisk walk to the next one, Pioppaino, so that really helped on the days we were scheduled to visit the sites with lots of walking. They were helpful in booking taxis and transfers when needed, and the little bar in the evenings was perfect for tea coffee or any selection of drinks and snacks.
All in all nothing to fault, and would definately reccomend this as a Hotel worth a visit.
Personale molto gentile e disponibile in tutto e per tutto. La struttura è organizzata e pulita.
Potrebbe essere utile migliorare le insegne per individuare la struttura anche in orario serale.
“I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, including breakfast and dinner. I must say, the welcome and the stay were truly excellent. The professionalism was outstanding, as were the helpful advice and tips. Even the taxi was arranged, and everything was taken care of promptly. I highly recommend the hotel in every way! You feel completely at home at Hotel Costa in Pompeii.
