They gave my.room away and gave me a tiny dirty, smelly room without even hangers, tv remote control and hot water on the first day and said they have no other rooms.i had to sleep on some comforters on the floor! Had backaches after that first day and got back our room for the bext 2 nights. The staff are good especially rhe housekeeping staff who try to make amends and service recovery. Location is horrible! Right in the midst of wholesale qet market and junkyard car parts recycling areas all around ! Never stay here ever, please warn all your guests!!
Some cockroaches and ants in the room.
No glass shower door.
Convenient to some shopping malls, market places, night markets. Good local food for meals. Easy on getting transport.
My stay at Lucky Star 2 was perfect. I love how huge the room is and very clean. staffs are very nice and friendly. The hotel is very close to Olympia Mall. It's very easy for me to access the shopping mall, and it's in the middle of Phnom Penh City so to go anywhere is not too far to get there. Plus, Love the view from my window.
no wifi on the property.called the staff many times and they promise to give solution yet nothing happen
The hotel condition is old,but on the other hand it is the cheapest to stay in town.
It has Air con,hot water shower and good size bed room.but there is a lot of ants .
The hotel conditions is old and full of little ants. It is o.k for the price . The location is very noisy because the surrounding full of weeding reception and the street traffic is very bad on the weekends.
The staff were extremely blunt and rude upon arrival, making us feel very unwelcome. There were literally hoards of chinese guests attending some sort of occasion in the function room next door, which meant crowds of them were congregating or simply wandering around in just about every area of the hotel, shouting and making alot of noise. They were also smoking in the hotel corridors and lifts, and throwing their cigarette ends on the hotel floor which remained there the following day. At one point they were staring and laughing at us for some bizarre reason and the hotel staff seemed to be joining in with them. There are absolutely no cameras in the hotel whatsoever apart from reception, and it has a very unsafe and seedy feel to it. The pillows had an obvious blood stain on them, and there were gecko droppings both in our room and all over the balcony floor. The room was a non smoking room yet smelled like an ashtray. The beds felt like sleeping on a flatbed truck they were that hard, and the aircon system was outdated and poorly unmaintained. The location is also terrible and very difficult for taxi/tuktuk drivers to access and manoeuvre around in at night time. One of the worst hotels and team of staff that ive come across in phnom penh for many years.
Every thing is ok, I will come back lucky star 2 hotel.
Great stay. Only two down sides were it's a little out of the centre and we found a dead cockroach in the morning.
Very friendly staff . Very helpful , NO HAIR BLOW DRY. Right next to local market . 15 from night market
All liked it! Great location and great service! Thank you!
The hotel was convenient for me and the staff was very helpful
The rooms were disgusting, there was mould in the bathroom, old rubbish from previous people who stayed, the beds were rock solid and the reception desk was no help at all. You ring them for a question and they hang up! We didn't even spend our full 10 days, we stayed 2 and found another hotel. Would definitely recommend avoiding this hotel.
The room is big, clean and has hot shower
Not the most exclusive hotel, few facilities, but good value for money.
We stay at the hote just for one night an it was enough. We wished never to be there again. Horrible neighborhood , service, smell and quality of the things in the room. The room was smelly, towels were old. No food available at the hotel or nearby. No friendly staff and in general every thing was bad. It was the worst hotel of our South East Adia trip.
The place was nothing like it was advertised and as for the area, well here is a list of problems that you might want to add to your website description:
Rude staff
Smelly room
Infested room - ants/cockroaches/various other bugs
Water went off
Illegal substance deals down stairs in the lobby
Illegal 'night walkers' in entrance/in the hotel
Reception giving out private details to Tuk Tuk driver who dropped us off at the hotel but for the two mornings we were there he called our room asking if we wanted a lift!!!
Not maintained room
Dirty bed sheets
Yelled at through our door by house keeping staff after an 8 hour journey on a bus, even though our do not disturb sign was on
No where near any of the attractions in Phnom Penh like it is described on your website.
No English not that they cared. Poor service.
One star,no hand towels or bath mat!
The hotel was in China town, about 15 minutes tuk tuk drive from the centre, so fairly quiet location with a wonderful colourful fruit nightmarket underneath, which could not be heard from the rooms. There are a lot of weddings and receptions in the hotel, but again they did not interfere with a good nights sleep. Lots of cheap eating places across the main road. To be honest, Phnom Penh is still a growing city, it will be like KL or Singapore within 15/20 years, but now is a bustling, very busy, not very pretty city. 2 days there is sufficient to see the landmarks.
