Hotel Elite Zermatt

Great place to stay in Zermatt. Easy distance from train station and in the heart of the town activity. Great room. Clean, comfortable bed and very quiet. Great breakfast. Very helpful and informative staff. We had a perfect view of the Matterhorn from the window/balcony of our room on the fourth floor! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

When we arrived at the hotel the receptionist told us that one of of the rooms is only booked for the 11th while we booked it until the 12th.
The duvet had a stain on it when we arrived and the towel in the bathroom had some booger on it! The elevator smelled awful but it was cleaned later.
The receptionist is very friendly and professional, she was one of the reasons that made our stay better. Also, the other staff at breakfast were nice too.
The breakfast is basic with good choices.
The location is more than perfect!
But over all it’s overpriced in my opinion for what we’re got in return.

This is a great little hotel. The rooms are very nice, comfortable with a small balcony with table and 2 chairs. The location couldn’t be better for ease of wandering around the town or getting to and from the train station (5 min walk). The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was decent, not a lot of selection, limited types of cheeses and meat, and basic breads, but you could ask for them to make you eggs. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is centrally located, close to the train station, Gornergratbahn and the busstop to the other ski lifts to Sunnega and Furi. It is also walkable. Next door is an excellent Italian Restaurant that was fully booked all days, so timely reservations required. The room is excellent however called a suite. Excellent shower, good beds, nice balcony.

The service in this hotel is the best.

Very close to the Train station. It is a small but very newly renovated, comfortable and friendly hotel. The rooms are amazing. Very good value for money. The breakfast was very good as well. Te views are also very nice, depending on which side you are located. Zermatt is a town to go out and about, but the rooms do invite to stay in, have a coffee on the balcony and chill.

Rooms were sufficient. Nice bathtub. Strong and warm shower. Beds were comfy but pillows too soft for my liking. Balcony was nice. But 2 most important points. First, the owner Marianne was a perfect host. Very helpful, accomodating, friendly and approachable. She made the stay into a 5-star holiday. Second, the buffet breakfast provided was very homely. Small set up but you have breads, spreads, cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, ham, mushrooms, hot drinks, juices, cereals, fruits. Didnt expect the breakfast spread to be so comprehensive. Shows how thoughtful the hotel is towards its guests!

Lovely Little Hotel very clean and comfortable and at a great price and great location

My friend and I booked 3 nights at Hotel Elite paying approximately about CHF330 per night which cost 50% more expensive during the period we were visiting Zermatt. When we arrived did we know that Zermatt Unplugged was ongoing probably this explained the 50% increase but never mind since we booked the rooms knowing the price. However when we saw the our room, it was not the same contemporary style that was advertised in the booking app. The hotel is rated as 3 stars but I think it’s more of a motel or hostel. For guests who are planning to book at Hotel Elite, please check the room that you are getting before booking. The rooms advertised on the booking app is not the same as what you are getting.

Super Preis Leistung, sauberes Zimmer, gute Lage … rundum top.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Our room literally has holes in the sheets and crumbs on them. It is like sleeping on a rag. So outdated it is like a super 8 motel in the USA. Absolutely terrible, We also paid for a view of the matterhorn and we did not get that. I am extremely disappointed and completely disgusted. I will be scheduling a new hotel because of the quality of this nasty place. They do not have wifi or a front desk personnel after 9 pm (I didn't realize I was staying in a hostel) . This hotel has very few updated rooms and they charge the same price for these disgusting rooms as they do the updated which is complete false advertising. I actually cannot believe this. I wont even take my shoes off because this place is so horrid let alone sleep in the bed that they offered. These disgusting photos don’t even do this hotel room justice of its true state.

Elite is a small nice hotel, conveniently placed in the middle of Zermatt. Walking distance from Bahnhof is short, and ski bus to different starting points is just around the corner.
Breakfast was a disappointment, and also the view of mountains. I booked a room with view, but it wasn't worth the extra money spent.

Wow what a great hotel and fantastic team of people. We visited for what was supposed to be 5 nights but extended to 8 because flights to the UK were all cancelled. This happened 2 times for us and of course a major concern was ‘where can we stay?’
The Elite team of Marianne and Annalena always took our stress level down and provided us with a calm ‘don’t worry you will be OK’ and offer to help with ‘anything’. They even discounted the cost for the extra nights which makes us feel forever loyal to this hotel and these people.
We had a lovely junior suite with a view of the Matterhorn and this room is gorgeous with a lovely balcony - living area - great TV channel selection - nice big bathroom with giant shower. We also enjoyed the breakfast room and a very nice lady serving there.
So all in all we could not recommend the Elite more and we have found our ‘home’ in Zermatt which we visit most years.

Great option in the very heart of Zermatt. We stayed there for 2 nights for the Zermatt Ultraks and the hotel is located just a few meters from the race start. Rooms are nice and functional and ours had a balcony with a great view on the Matterhorn. Host was super nice and flexible, we could e.g. Leave our luggage locked after checkout for later pickup. Rooms not facing the Matterhorn have apparently been just renovated with remaining rooms to follow soon.

Excellent location for everything - pubs, restaurants, clubs even ski slopes are not too far away - easy bus ride to either Gornergrat Bahn or the Matterhorn Express. The staff are very friendly. I would go back. I loved the jacuzzi in our room.

I stayed with my family for a few days in the Hotel Elite. It was amazing the people there are very friendly and the new rooms are very nice and you feel very homelike. We will definitly go there again!

Staff were very helpful and friendly!! It is in a very convenient location
