Restaurant staff were so friendly
Location
Room was very hot, large pipe running around the room were very hot which heats the room up.
Town centre location close to where I wanted to be and great parking near by
Plug in bath didn’t fit the hole
Bed was clean but so soft I sank, which caused a not so restful night. I only 10 stone.
Too hot in the hotel, so caused me to dehydrated in the night.
Convenient location for one night, bed was comfy.
Needs visually updating but very low priority, just feels a bit dated.
Location and new carpets
Coloured tiles in bathroom and baked beans
Nice hotel with friendly staff. Good location and good breakfast. The rooms are partially refurbished, some parts are still a bit old, like the windows.
Nothing in particular.
Very outdated
I liked nothing about the place
Location is pretty good, staff were nice enough, room was clean but had a slight damp smell.. Over all slept really well, boiling hot shower.
It's kinda like Merthyr Tydfil, lack of investment.
It's an old building that does need improving.
TV wouldn't tune.
Didn’t have the breakfast
Nothing not to like
Its right in the town centre, so easy to find everything. staff was extremely nice and helpful, and the night porter was extremely kind and funny ( can't remember is name but a bold chap sorry )! Will defo be back x
perfect location
The room was very comfortable, all I needed was there. the shower was hot almost straight away, you dont often get that. The location was spot on for the activities I had planned, nothing was more that 30 mins away. I dont really eat breakfast so cant comment but Id say if i had to guess it would be just fine. One of the guest on check out said he always came over for the Sunday lunch, then you must know this is a good place.
for the price paid, this place exceeded my expectations, I needed somewhere to get my head down and the Castle hotel provided just that, its proximity to everything was brilliant, cant fault them and plan to go back next month
Everything went smoothly, the staff were lovely and welcoming, our room was clean and had comfy beds. It's a great location to rest after visiting the Brecon Beacons for a good value!
There is no parking provided by the hotel, but just across the road, there is a car park that was free overnight (or £1 for the whole day). Shops and restaurants are very close as everything is in the town centre, and it can get loud overnight as people come out from pubs and parties (maybe have some earplugs if you are not a heavy sleeper).
