Location was great, right in heart of town.
Bar area and dining room could do with returning some more old world charm (sea faring nick nacks etc) to boost the atmosphere. Wasn’t thrilled with outside patio either.
Staff were really friendly, and i felt very welcome and at home, important when travelling alone. Enjoyed the food, local, fresh, hot and imaginative. Going to slerp to the lapping waves a special joy.
A bedside table would have been nice, or small shelf.
Location and quirky
This location is unbelievable. Once you’ve dropped off your luggage and park about 1km away, you are right in the centre of all the action of Port Isaac.
Parking was a bit of a pain - but worth it once you’ve got yourself sorted in the hotel. If I were to do it again, I’d just pack my smaller bag and leave larger suitcase in the car.
The hotel is in an amazing location in an amazingly beautiful town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar and outdoor area are great. Breakfast was good.
Our room had a balcony with a great view - no doubt because of the age of the hotel and its location the room area is only large enough for a smallish, double bed which were not used to and so it was not the most comfortable night’s sleep
Lovely clean room, staff were amazing friendly and helpful
The breakfast was more than satisfactory, with a menu that effortlessly complemented the character of the place. I found the entire experience utterly delightful, precisely the sort of charm one hopes to encounter in a sleepy English fishing village. In every respect, it was perfect
There was not one thing that disappointed..
It was very clean & comfortable & had everything we needed in it
Shower was a bit snug - but it’s understandable given the age of the property & therefore the rooms are cost sizes too
We had a great short break at The Slipway, very recently. We found the staff extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and the food excellent. The Slipway is situated in a great central position on the Harbourside and is open all day for drinks and food and the cream tea was fab. It is also a very short walk to some lovely little shops, a pottery and gallery, etc and plenty of coffee shops and great restaurants. The coastal walks are amazing.
We have no complaints about The Slipway.
Location, view’s friendly staff
Location was excellent close to everything if you are a fan of doc Martin you will love it food was excellent staff and accommodation excellent could not fault.
Nothing
From the moment we arrived, the welcome was amazing. Our room was spotless, cosy, with a wonderful view. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff couldn't have been nicer. On our journey there, our car broke down during storm Barm and they allowed us to stay for an extra few hours, in our room, in order to wait for our lift home. Thank you to all..we'll definitely be back!
Location
Parking was a long way to walk with bags. However given the age of the area it Is understandable there is very limited parking
