This is probably one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in & we have been to a lot! However, there is a but…..

The good: As soon as you walk into the reception and wonder around the hotel, you suddenly feel at ease. Every small detail of the hotel has been well thought through. We had a river view room with a small balcony looking over the river and pool. The room was large, comfortable and really nicely decorated. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. Dotted around the hotel are lots of small areas with table and chairs where you could sit and chill out. The pool area and gardens are beautiful and well kept. There also a gym and sauna. Breakfasts are awesome, with so much high quality food to choose from. The young staff team were great, so helpful and cheerful doing what they could to help, even with the language barrier.

The but…..on our last day we decided to spend the day chilling around the hotel, or tried to anyway. The were maintenance guys changing door lock banging around all day, so we thought we would move to the pool area, where the guys building a new building were also banging around all day. So there was no where to escape, which was really disappointing. A note from the hotel informing us of the work may have helped us plan to be elsewhere!

Having said that, we loved the hotel.

Great hotel in a truly remarkable position, with a river flowing next to it, and views of Lencois and the mountains. Our room was a good size, with a small balcony overlooking the attractive grounds, which contain a small pool, a hot(-ish!) tub and a steam room. The staff were helpful and friendly, particularly Dida, the concierge, who gave us an interesting short tour of Lencois, an attractive and fascinating town. The breakfast buffet is excellent (with the exception of weak coffee). We had dinner in the hotel the first night, which was disappointing, but there are many good restaurants only a few minutes from the hotel. Overall, very good indeed.

This is a classy, serene, and comfortable place to stay, from checking to checkout. Included breakfast offered an good variety, rooms were clean and well-cared for, the fitness center was small but equipped and clean, and the location was within a 5-10 minute walk to many restaurants.

A beautifully designed note that lives up it name Can’t das Aguascalientes the song of ware, being next to the river. In our week the river went from a gentle flow to a torrent, very exciting.
The hotel is light and airy with most rooms having a balcony overlooking the river and pool. The bed was comfy the size great and the shower room worked well. We ate in the restaurant a few times for lunch and dinner and all was well prepared fresh and creative. The crime brûlée is not to be missed. Their Moquecca is healthier without all the coconut oil evident.
Breakfast had a good choice with kefir and kombucha and lots of seeds. There is a good variety of cakes and savoury items with eggs and local options cooked to order.
Their biggest asset was the staff who were very helpful and patient with our lack of Portuguese. We stayed a week!!

I have been to the city of Lençóis several times before. And ever since, I dreamt of staying in this hotel. The Hotel Canto das Águas is right by the river Lençóis, which adds this amazing waterfall sound in the background. Rooms are modern beautifully designed, comfortable. TV, Mini-bar, safe, Air-Con. Staff is very friendly and always available. Restaurant is great, for breakfast, dinner and anything in between! Best stay ever! I can’t think of a better place to stay in Lençóis! I recommend and we’ll definitely stay again!

We were not guest in the hotel we only came to the restaurant.
First night we had such a pleasant experience that we tried to repeat the following day. Ordered the same dish and it was completely different. Consistency in the kitchen seems to be an issue, still pleasant and recommended.

I heard this was the best hotel in town and I have no reason to disagree. The grounds were well-kept, the rooms were clean and modern and it's located next to a small river, which gives a great view while you're eating. I honestly have no complaints.

Friendly staff, great place to stay with clean rooms, good sturdy bed, filtered water available for free, beatiful view. The hotel has an amazing building with a small museum, a lot of choices for massage and tours. The pool is nice (could be cleaned more often due to the insects). The breakfast and restaurant had great quality food. I would definitely come back here.

Excelente. Quarto amplo, limpo e cheiroso. Tem uma rede para deitar na varanda. Banheiro grande. Valores expressivos. Café da manhã deixou um pouco a desejar, pelo nível do hotel. Restaurante do hotel com uma moqueca de camarão incrível.
