Convenient seafront location
Pros:

In these difficult times with Covid, the Commodore has it sussed with self service check in and owut and measures in place to have a safe break. As a dog owner they allow pets. Free easy car parking in front of the hotel was an added bonus. Only disapointment was breakfast was not avaliable, but its convenient locations offers plenty of alternatives.

Quiet, friendly and delicious breakfast
Pros:

The breakfast was AMAZING. Friendly and helpful staff and very quiet in the hotel. Dog friendly (although we didn’t have our dogs stay with us this time) but good to know in future. A bit outdated and mismatched furniture and decor but extremely clean. Would stay here again

Spacious Apartment
Pros:

We stayed for 4 nights on the 1st floor apartment which was very spacious and had a very well equipped kitchen. We were welcomed with a little hamper of essentials. All rooms were a bit dated but spotlessly clean. The only criticism is that the shower head was fixed too low on the wall which made hair washing a bit of a challenge.

Nice hotel. Right at the beach
Pros:

The hotel (guesthouse) is right at the beach. Lots to see and do within minutes around the hotel: cinema, pier, minigolf, restaurants etc.
The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic! Some reviews mention dinner but they don’t offer dinner anymore.

We stayed in the family room. It was not big/not too small. In the hallway was a (shared) fridge which was useful.

Great stay, would certainly go back.

Can’t go wrong!
Pros:

Great location, on the seafront with a great view across the bay. I parked with ease, reverse in though! Check in was easy and owners really friendly. I was up two flights of quite steep stairs, not a problem for me but be wary if you can’t do stairs very well. Decent sized room with a comfy double bed and spotless bedding. The bathroom was pretty big for a B and B, and it also had a bath which is quite unusual. The towels were great too, bath sheets that were pure white. The decor was dated, but to be fair it was very clean. There were three good sized drawers and a very small hanging space but it was ample for us. Also, two chairs that were comfy enough for a wee seat with a cup of tea instead of having to sit of the bed. Really decent room for the fair price I paid. I didn’t pay extra for breakfast so can’t comment on that.

Excellent Weekend break
Pros:

Friendly hotel on the sea front. Great hosts, great location, great breakfast. They also recommended some fine places to eat in the evenings. Our room did not come with a sea view, but looked over the town to the hills beyond. It was quiet, near all the facilities we needed and we would stay there again.
