It was ok for two night stay but not longer.
Pros:

It was close to Royal Exhibition Centre, Lygon Restaurants and CBD.

Cons:

Very old and run down. No proper wheelchair access out of reception thru to rooms. Doorways were very narrow as was the lift.

Location is great, 700m walk from Parkville Metro Station.

Cons:

The works being undertaken we were told would be during business hours. I umderstand people work night shift which would be there business hours but did not expect until 11.45pm there would be so much noise from works and doors banging. Add that to those checking out at 5am and allowing the heavy doors to bang shows a lack of respect from some. You can pay an extra $20 a night around the corner at an establishment like Best Western Plus for a restful nights sleep but it may not be as noisy every night.
Fridge was intermittently noisy throughout the night as the thermostat kicked in, and the sound of running water from nearby room pipes was loud.

Dissappointed with this accommodation
Pros:

Good location for Melbourne 🌸 flower and garden show. Lots of eating places in this Street. Also easy walk to Melbourne Museum and Imax.

Cons:

The bed was very uncomfortable. Mattress needed upgrading. Noise with builders on site.

A budget hotel with a 5 star price avoid if you like sleep or a decent shower.
Pros:

decent location, basic room.

Cons:

Mattress hard as a rock, shower door doesnt close, so leaks, you cant have the water running more than a minute, constant noise from the renovations going on 7am or earlier everyday, there was constant noise throughout the night even though they said there was no works, pretty sure one or two people were working continuously banging above you all night, water got cut off one day without being told, returned that night. Can hear your neighbours tv and snoring little to no sound proofing, Carpet and rooms dated, bathroom upgrades done but dodgy works. Cutlery doesnt match just whatever they could throw together, better places for the same money.

Lygon Street
Pros:

Close to restaurants, Carlton Gardens, & public transport.

Cons:

The carpet was very tired & unfortunately the front sliding door not double glazed.
Very noisy at night from the locals doing blockies in their hotted up cars & motor bikes.
Renovations are being done until 2028, so hopefully the faults are rectified.
