Ofelias Hotel

In a city that seems like it never sleeps, Barcelona's Ofelias Hotel was a glad oasis. e had a superior room with spacious terrace. The bed was comfortable, the room was impeccably laid out, and the quiet private outdoor space made things all the more relaxing. Breakfast, for those who like to start the day with a full meal, was a relatively accessible €18. Cafe Tartella up the street offers alternative breakfast and healthy lunch options. A mall across the street offers backup for necessities. Within two blocks of the metro. An excellent spot.

Great location

Absolutely disgusting hotel, shabby, dirty, smelly. We couldn't stay here and other guests outside were confirming how bad the hotel was. Avoid. They refused to refund us even partially. I took lots of photos.

Nice and quiet hotel. Convenient location to downtown and airport

I loved my stay at Ofelias Hotel. As a single traveler this hotel was safe and convenient to public transportation, restaurants, and historical places to visit. The staff was very helpful and finding things to do around Barcelona.

Wish there were more things happening inside the Hotel but great area, convenience and vibe.

We had bedbugs in the hotel. Moved to a new location in the middle of the night. Don’t spend your money here. We were with kids, and it was a terrible experience. 4 bedbugs found in the bed and wall decoration. Not what you want on a family trip with kids. Still waiting on a refund.

Our 2nd stay at Ofelias. We decided to book a room without the terrace this time due to the time of year we were visiting.
Room was great and all the staff we saw were helpful and friendly.
Too cold to use the pool this time.
Great location for visiting the city.

Lovely hotel with amazing staff

Lovely hotel, very welcoming, breakfast was excellent, staff were very helpful. Pool area is very nice

Myself and partner booked the hotel thinking it was a 4* as part of our honeymoon trip. We arrived and noticed the bed was the hardest thing. We asked at reception and they put a mattress topper on. I woke later that night with pins and needles.

We complained again in the middle of the night as the metro was under the hotel and was really noisy.
The reception gave us mattress toppers and pillows which we had to sort ourselves. The next morning we found mould in the walls and very dusty AC vent. The bathroom has no door or separation creating heat and humidity in the room.

The AC is dusty so the combination is terrible especially having severe asthma. We complained again and the woman on reception was very rude and did not listen and told us the manager is off and is entitled to it and to sort it out on Monday (it was Saturday). I had white bite marks on my feet from all of the bedding which didn't come with pillow cases or protection and that what we was left to sort. Dust, mite marks, humidity and mould is really not ok for somebody with asthma. So we left the hotel and of course hours later we were offered another hotel under their brand. After the experience we did not want to stay and left as it was our honeymoon. The hotel still charged for a night we didn't stay! We booked into a 3* hotel afterwards and received a more comfortable, cleaner stay and with better service! HEADS UP DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Very good value for money.

Great hotel a little further out but on the metro so it was easy to get around town. Room and facilities were very clean and modern. Used the small rooftop patio and pool after a hot day in the sun, very nice. Recommend for quality as well as value.

Room was dusty and smelly. Room and corridors felt dated. Not a 5* hotel.

Convenient for Metro and trains. Good selection of reataurants and shops nearby.

Very clean hotel but I feel not a 4 * . The staff front of house were very good but breakfast staff aloof and small details in the rooms stop me from giving it 4 * . They didn’t replenish milk, the kettle didn’t work and there wasn’t a corkscrew for the wine in the minibar .
The breakfast too I felt could be a lot better , the Catolonia Group of hotels provide a much better choice of breakfast . I wouldn’t return to this hotel as the small details do matter.

When i booked ,i requested with breakfast, when arrived said no breakfast.

There is a bottle of wine in lobby, never offered us, so we didn't thouch it as arefreshment. May it was for netters.
Anyway we stayed in two other hotels during our recent visit.and this hotel didn't worth $350 /nt.
I'm planning to report to my credit card, to and tell them how i was dupped.
