Lovely staff, cleanliness, free parking, access to the national swimming centre.
The rooms need a facelift because they're a bit tired (old panelling, old carpet, old furniture, etc. It seems stuck in the late 80s early 90s which is a vibe.
Room was clean bed comfy, staff were excellent.
Not great
Rooms are very dated
Lovely view.
Lovely staff
Somewhat clean.
Easy to navigate
Near the bus stop etc
Our sink had either some ckeabing liquid residue or what looked like dry blood
Really thin walls and could hear everything going off in other rooms or the corridor
Close to the Parkrun for Saturday morning run.
Good breakfast.
Had to pay a supplement for the dog (wasn’t too bad).
The hotel is a great choice if you have an event on campus, it's clean with very good showers and comfy beds.
Some of the older style rooms have a movement based light sensor in the bathroom (no light switch) so if you go in in the night the lights come on! Apparently not all rooms have this so I would recommend asking when booking if it's something you want to avoid.
The staff were very attentive
Good location for our trip
The breakfast was of poor quality everything dried up and cold the plates were covered up as if they should have been hot but cold not a nice experience
Good value for money with a reasonable size room. Generous breakfast.
Tea and coffee arrangement at breakfast is awful. Bed a. It small. TV is the size of a small computer screen.
Good price
Staff not very attentive or interested
Room outdated and smelt strange so had to leave windows open all night.
Sink didn’t drain
No hot water or milk or many other t things for
breakfast and limited choice available which was all overcooked and despite staff wandering about no one appeared to care or notice
Buses run regularly a few hundred yards away, free parking.
Swimming pool is not part of the hotel but belongs to the university, reception very uninterested, called them as there were a few issues, TV did not work, bedside lamps flashed like a disco, they said they would send someone, half an hour later they called back to say they didn't have time to send anyone but if we were happy to move we were welcome to go to reception to get a key for another room, bearing in mind there are no lifts.
