Very disappointing
Pros:

The breakfast was poor. The food was not adequately provided for. Seemingly due to a large group of Canadian rugby players who hoovered the food up

Cons:

We were a group of 5 old flatmates having a reunion after 50 years. The day before arriving 3 of the rooms were cancelled. We were told to go to the Holiday Inn - a few miles away. One room was reinstated, another person did not receive the message until arriving at the hotel. We are in our 70s and after saying hello she drive home in daylight( as she cant drive in the dark) We had a meal booked for 6.30pm Another couple had a 2 hour drive home at 11pm after our special meal.

Comfort and value
Pros:

Overall a nice place to stay; clean and comfortable - all main requirements met.

Cons:

The TV sounds terrible. Decor is a little tatty, but appears superficial only and didn’t bother us.

Adequate for the purpose
Pros:

Good value, free parking (though busy), convenient location.

Cons:

Furniture getting tired.
King beds not really kings, just two singles together so only 6’ 3” long, not 6’ 6”.
Most staff were really good, but the receptionist was so unsmiling and unfriendly it was verging on rude.

Just too tired a room.
Pros:

The staff were lovely. Location is wonderful. Lots of power sockets.Good mirrors. Lovely toiletries.

Cons:

The bed was a small double so we didn't sleep well. The second pillow should be binned it was so paper-thin. The toilet moved about once you sat on it. The TV was tiny. Duvet cover had what seemed like a blood stain on it.
Just a very tired room.
