Important information:

Please note that there is restricted access to the swimming pool at weekends from 17:00.

Please note that there are limited dog-friendly rooms available. Guests are required to confirm with the property prior to arrival and terms and conditions apply

There will be a GBP 25 charge per dog per stay. A maximum of 1 dog per room permitted.

Please be aware that the swimming pool is lane swimming only so children must be over 12 years old to use the pool and be able to swim at least 50m

Our pool will be closed for maintenance from 7th August to 11th August 2023.

MINORS younger than 18 you are not able to check in by themselves and need to be with and adult.

The pool is closed daily from Monday 10/8/2026 to Friday 14/8/2026 inclusive.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Comfortable stay in a beautiful setting.
Pros:

Lovely, peaceful setting. We saw deer from our bedroom window and lots of birds.

Cons:

Noise of people in the corridors and closing their doors, made a good nights sleep difficult.

It was a ‘double’ room but bed rather small hence not a comfortable night.

Very convenient
Pros:

Not central location but this was fine by me. Located in university and close to Wallace memorial so i had a good walk. Parking and food on site both of which were useful.

Hugely disappointing
Pros:

Location.

Cons:

Booking.com did not forward our reservation and we were left embarrassed at reception when we checked in 2 hours later.
Receptionist had to make another booking and “upgraded” our room after being unable to find the reservation on their system.
Room was very basic, furniture was chipped, covered in ring marks and scratched. Pillowcases were stained, bathroom was awful. Tiny sink, peeling paint, vanity was covered in damp, peeling wood fibres. I refused to shower in that bathroom as it was not of a standard I expected.
The only redeeming feature of the stay was that the bed was comfortable and the duvet was warm.
