Zeer teleurstellend !

Een 4 Sterrenhotel geboekt “ luxe-suite” blijkt bij aankomst op één van de heetste dagen 8 augustus (33 graden) geen airco te hebben en ook geen lift.
Daarom verwezen naar de dependance aan de overkant.
Daar terecht gekomen op de tot slaapkamer verbouwde zolder die totaal niet doet denken aan een “ luxe-suite”. Kamer 105.
Het beloofde bubbelbad was er niet , net als het beloofde uitzicht , een klein vierkant raampje boven oog hoogte.
Slechts plaats voor één nachtkastje , links van het bed moet iemand langer dan 1,8 meter gebukt staan vanwege het schuine dak.
Kortom: geen enkele beleving van onze verwachtingen om op een mooie manier onze 80- jarige verjaardag te vieren. Waar overigens ook niets mee gedaan is door de staf.
Aan het eind ongevraagd een korting van € 25,- waardoor het eindbedrag uitkwam op € 247,- , altijd nog hoger dan de prijs op de website.
Daar wordt ook de prijs inclusief city-tax vermeld die bij ons extra in rekening is gebracht.

Het diner in het restaurant was prima.

Het personeel was erg vriendelijk, kamers waren netjes en ontbijt was prima.

Cons:

Er miste duidelijk airconditioning in de kamer. Voor de prijs en het feit dat het 4 sterren heeft is dat zeker wel een aanrader.

the location was good, it had old heritage vibe and accessibility for hotel within the city was good.

Cons:

La chambre 1 est jointe à une autre chambre sans isolation par une porte commune. Une nuit fut parfaite, une autre j’ai du intervenir le client voisin étant très bruyant avec ses videos. Tard dans la soirée Dommage cet hôtel est très agréable

A very nice hotel in a lovely location.
Pros:

We had Room 12 which was nice and large with a good sized bathroom and spa although we never used it. Buffet breakfast was good but we never had dinner there. There are no lifts to the 1st floor but the staff helped which was good.

Cons:

There was a lot of space but no place to put suitcases and little shelving. Similarly there was hardly any place to put toiletries in the bathroom or for clothes. Some simple additions would be very welcome, but it was easy enough to compromise as the space was very good.
