Hotel Raj Bed & Breakfast

We stayed at the hotel Taj resorts in Agra for three nights. We found the accommodations nice and the service excellent. We were somewhat disappointed because there was no hot water in the showers which the management was not able to fix. Downstairs there’s a art gallery where you can watch marble being carved in the fashion used at the Taj Mahal. Very interesting.

The rooftop restaurant is wonderful. We loved it. Breakfast was just OK and for American taste not so good.

The hotel is very centrally located in Agra and that made it a wonderful place from which to launch out for our visit to the Taj Mahal. We’re glad we’re glad we came to stay at the hotel

They cut off responses when I needed my refund. This is a scam, do not book. There are many other places in Agra that have great views of the Taj Mahal and are reputable. Please do not stay here or you will be scammed.

Location is very good to buy souveniers and foods!
And staffs are all kind! I stay only one day! But it is good to be here! Want to say thank you all :)

Raj Cafe attached to the Hotel which we didn't stay in, was everything you'd like in Agra.
The Host is a treat.. so typically Muslim, friendly and helpful.. The atmosphere of the cafe/restaurant is classic, simple but warm.. He sells the BEST masala chai spices and gives the best masala chai in town.. he doesn't put any sugar in his masala chairs.. only externally offers it separately. I'd thoroughly recommend this restaurant for the real deal. Prices are great too. His cafe is also close to the TAJ.

I was staying here at this September and I just wanted to thank you for the Mr Prashant he is menager there and amazing Mr Jimmy thay really know how to make special charm around and I really felt myself like at home.
The construction it's not too funcy but atmosphere is such a great. The price is not too high like in other places and this hotel situated just like 7 minutes away from the Taj Mahal so that more than awesome . Those guys halped me with the tickets to Jaipur and Udaipur, with souvenirs by the normal price and advises about all the city Agra. For sure I'll come back here for the next time.

nice hotel friendly staff.near tajmahal south gate.good service.i was there for 1 night.budget hotel.i paid only 500 for non ac room.i would like to recomend everyone.fpr 1 night not bad.tajmahal entry and exit very close to tajmahal.,visit twice 1 day.just walking distace.

Perfect location directly at the South Gate of Taj Mahal. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. Could get us every information we needed without trying to sell anything or sending us to a ‘friend’.

It’s cheap: 1’000INR per night for two to three people AC room.

Unfortunately the hotel has had better times. It is completely used down and falls apart. The covers are stained, the pillows are hard and the mattress thin. The bathroom was broken (yes, nothing worked properly).

If you need a cheap place to sleep and helpful information: Go there! There is no better place in that price range.

If you are picky regarding hygiene: Look around for more expensive places.

Horrible property, VERY dirty. Book a car and they only gave half of what we paid to the driver so driver took the longest route just to save some toll money. People taking advantage of others shouldnt be in the hospitality business.

I will start saying the young guy at the front desk was friendly and extremely helpful with us. Among other nice gestures, he woke up at 5 am to give us breakfast because our train was leaving early. I am giving a not bad review just because of him.
On the hand, the building is old and not well maintained. The whole place needs some painting and cleaning work. The bathroom was dirty and looked like 50 years old. Wifi only works in the reception area :(
Still they charged us 800 INR for the AC room which is a lot considering the hotel lousy condition.
They should seriously consider investing some time and work in improving and brightening up the whole place.

I was there for one night stay with my friend and had made payment online already. I had booked executive room which had clearly mentioned AC room with free water bottle on Agoda website by hotel.
after reaching hotel they gave me different standard fan room with broken non working AC. I showed my online booking confirmation for executive room with AC to reception guy but he just said that he can't help in that matter and can only provide non AC room for that booking!
since I had already made online payment so had no choice but to stay in that room.
In the night time hundred of mosquito came inside room because that broken AC on wall had big open space around it for them to come in!
after waking up in middle night went to use bathroom and there was no water running! I was running like crazy around lobby to find hotel staff to complain about no water in bathroom but could not find anyone.
so basically it was one of the worst hotel stay experience in my lifetime! And yes not to forget dirty bathroom as well of this hotel! Ihave even stayed in hotel rooms of 100rs as well in India and even they were better than this hotel!
All I can say is don't just book hotel room here blindfolded because of location! you can find many nice hotel for same price in nearby locality and save your hard earned money.
staying in Raj bread and breakfast hotel was a mental harrasment of self! never ever going to book there again!

Hotel proche du Taj Mahal mais chambre sale (draps entièrement tâchés et salle de bain insalubre) dans un bâtiment en piteux état. La nourriture est ok.

AC was not cooling. Cold drinking water not available. Nothing to eat except Dal in dinner. BF was complementry but served only 1 parantha. We asked for early breakfast but they denied by saying that cook will come at 8 and you will get BF at 8.30 only. Staff was not good.
Overall, we faced a lot of problems during this stay.
Will not recommend to anyone.

nice and clean rooms very friendly owner Mr. rishikesh from delhi running this hotel they have a small and nice restaurant downstairs with kind oof choices tasty food it is around 2 minute walk though the taj enterance gate.

Way overpriced for what we got. Dirty rooms, stains on the bed and pillows. Only given one blanket (no sheets) and one dirty pillow. Also given towels with brown spots (looked fresh). Manager was nice but other staff wasn't.

Llegamos al hotel, nos dijeron que había cambiado la administración y que no nos reconocían la reserva a pesar de tener el total de la estadía paga. No nos ofrecieron ninguna solución ni nos devolvieron el dinero. Tuvimos que salir con el equipaje a cuestas a buscar alojamiento

Basic hotel with breakfast and wi-fi. Just what we wanted for one night to visit Taj Mahal which is just round the corner
