The staff were helpful and friendly
The laundry, 2 machines for ~100 rooms is not ok. The dryers were not working well either, making drying clothes very expensive
Breakfast was excellent selection. Room
Very spacious , perfect location for ski in ski out
Charged for onsen when didn’t use it , think it should be opt in or out
Staff were amazing
Wonderful staff and location right on the ski field was perfect
The location: close to the lifts and slopes
Cleaning room once every 2 days. The diner menue: way too expensive for what’s on the menu
Location was great, Onsen was amazing, lounge area was really nice
Bed and pillows were not very comfortable, fridge in the room wasn't cold
The property was so convenient with ski in and ski out and very cozy
Just one small complaint was that the cleaning staff had thrown my pjs onto my dirty suitcase while cleaning the room :(
Location to the village and the outdoor onsen
The facilities are a bit tired especially for the cost.
Great room, all clean, nice food and great service, nice onsen!
this is an old hotel nobody cared to maintain. Don't get fooled by the fancy Hilton and Tapestry collection in the name of the hotel! It's like a time travel in a disappointing sense. It's really overpriced for what its worth. And don't use the ski rental!!!! That's just ridiculous! We bought the advanced snowboard package but we got the cheapest shit you can find in the scrapyard
I was given a corner room at the end of the hall, this had a great view of a ski lift from the lounge.. the room was fantastic; I loved the timber cladding on the walls, the leather seats in the lounge/ dining… came with two separate toilets and the bedroom and bathroom were both stylishly designed.
Excellent restaurant/ and breakfast buffet
Walk straight out to lifts, plus ski hire adjoining lodge.
SPECIAL mention to the female ‘Russian’ staff concierge who helped me while I was panicking about trying to get an Uber… turned out I was mixed up about the arrival time of the free bus to Kutchan railway station… she was fantastic, eventually she found me a ‘hard to find’ alternative taxi, which I then had her cancel once I realised my mistake about the free bus - which got me to the train with plenty of time to spare. She was calm and friendly at all times, while being very resourceful. I couldn’t apologise enough for my anxiety.
It was expensive; although I did stay one weekend night over peak season… but, given the quality of the room, the exceptionally helpful and friendly staff… and the dinning room which had fantastic meals - I would highly recommend!

The location
The photos of the rooms looked cozy and good but the actual room was not
Great ski-in, ski-out location. Very nice onsen! Shuttle bus easy to use taking you to Hirafu in 15 minutes.
Rooms were small and felt slightly outdated, very hot in the room and air condition didn't work. (Some) front desk staff felt a bit rude at times. High price for what it is.
