Great location friendly staff clean
Only that rooms bathroom do need refurbishment in line with rest of hotel otherwise great
Fabulous cooked English breakfast and Eggs Benedict was superb. Spacious restaurant and lovely food. Spacious and comfortable bar. Lovely friendly staff. Rooms were spotless.

Felt very dark dingy, and unclean. Bathroom had a lot of wear and tear as well as the room itself. Stained carpets and dusty areas. I stayed here 2 nights as it was my engagement party but I wish I was given a better room as it put a downer on the whole vibe

Staff lovely, views lovely, the room we entered was small wasn’t cleaned off the previous people , staff were so helpful and moved our room and was so apologetic, he was lovely, our new room wasn’t cleaned properly the was still food off previous guest in corners behind bin crumbs on window and stuff on bathroom floor, did ask to be moved but had no available rooms. But disappointed as we stayed the week before here n the room was spacious and lovely and clean. Again the staff the week before were lovely too.

The location is great with the restaurants and shops only a couple of minutes walk away and our room had a nice view as it was overlooking the sea and the amusements. It was also great to have a parking space allocated.
The breakfast in the hotel was lovely!
The big thing that lets this hotel down is the cleanliness. On entering the room the dust was very visible and not what I would expect to see on arrival. We did stay in the middle of February so it was very cold outside and with it being directly opposite the sea it is extra cold.
The hotel in general has a musty smell and the stairs and corridor carpets most definitely need a deep clean and I think that may help with the smell. Our room was freezing cold and I’m talking about walk in freezer type of coldness. The bathroom was the worst so tried to turn the small radiator on but it was not working and there was at least 2 inches of dust surrounding the radiator so I’m assuming house keeping is either not doing a presentable job or the room had not been used in at least 2 years. Our first night was the worst I’ve ever experienced in any hotel for coldness but we were tired after a long drive so decided to just load on the layers of clothing and try and sleep and deal with it the following morning. In the morning we asked for an extra duvet which we received and then reported to reception that the heating wasn’t working and couldn’t bear another night with the same situation. To give credit where it is due the staff member we reported it to was in our room within 10 minutes having a look at the radiator and confirmed it was broken and offered us to move rooms but by this time it was 9pm and we had completely unpacked so we said we would rather not have to so we were offered a heater which we gratefully accepted and this was in our room within 5 minutes. It was an old dusty heater covered in paint splatters but it done the job nicely!
Unfortunately the lack of cleanliness and broken radiator (even though it was promptly attended to and much appreciated by us) this has brought us to the decision to never stay at the Sea Hotel again and we would not recommend it to anyone.
Such a shame as it has huge potential but the housekeeping needs to be reviewed.

Everything was great . Rooms just a little run down but didn't bother us too much as it was very clean and quiet .
When I booked the room I didn't realise there was no lift and I'm waiting for a knee operation so did struggle a little going to second floor . Never mind I know for next time .

Bathrooms looked dated and problems with water pressure and temperature of shower. It suddenly turned scalding hot. Dangerous.
