We were told after we arrived that our reservation had been cancelled (no one told us and this app didn’t show as cancelled).
Very unhappy that I booked this room a day ahead of my travels, only to be told when I showed up that it was not available as they had taken in evacuees that filled the entire hotel. No call or email to let me know this before I arrived. All of the other hotels in the city were booked up. I ended up continuing to drive - 14 hours in bad weather! They should have atleast called or emailed to let me know the room was no longer available so that I could plan to stop somewhere else along the way. No communication whatsoever!
Staff was friendly , they were pet friendly, breakfast was good.
Breakfast very good!
showed front desk booking rate, can’t match. Go to parking lot and book. Just spent 39 nights at a Wyndham in Montreal. Seriously, they managed to figure out how to give me good rate in Manitoba the next night
Breakfast was good.
TV in our room didn't work, so they gave us a different room.
This place is pretty rough, walls were dirty, mattresses were pretty bad , I slept in my clothes on the bed, I’m a pretty easy going guy and have stayed in a lot of places. But this place has been one of the worst, this place gives the travel lodge a bad impression.
This place needs a good cleaning and an update, the smoke smell in my rooms was pretty bad ,
Staff and service was awesome and accommodating with everything going on
Convenient location. The property has really tried to bring it back to the standards they had before the nonsense with the fire evacuees. (We stay at this location often). Beds are extremely comfortable. Added additional comforts to rooms. Water was hot. Room was clean. What more do you need for an overnight when travelling.
Price and it’s been updated. Clean
Waffle iron--when it was clean and working
The staff are completely unprofessional and allow very questionable conduct to occur on the premise! When I was checking in, Priscilla insisted that my stay wasn't paid for. After an HOUR working with booking.com, the issue was Priscilla trying to charge more than what was agreed upon! Even upon checking out, she tried to leave an outstanding balance! The room I was originally given had a chemical stench that was so bad that I couldn't breathe! I tried to open a window to air out the room and was horrified to learn that they could not be opened--which is a fire hazard and smoke hazard where guests would die of smoke inhalation from an inability to open ANY window! I was told that the windows being unable to open is a "safety feature." There is a very unstable night worker who slams doors at 2am. Even after reporting the issue, nothing was done about her despite her clearly having some sort of mental breakdown at one point. Then, there was a "guest" who seemed to be friends with this unstable employee who ran around the hallways yelling about wanting to be a disturbance to the point where I thought a drug addict had entered the facility and NOTHING was being done by the staff. The next day, the same individual left a questionable substance at the breakfast bar and was yelling in the eating area inches away from the staff--being the unstable employee. This unstable employee also frequently refused to get out of her chair and demanded that I take care of the waffle iron after it had broken and the alarm kept going off--she couldn't be bothered to check on it. The cleaning staff required you to chase them down to get your room cleaned and some days didn't even bother attempting to check.
Amazing service, definitely coming back!
