The pool was very good

Cons:

The roof restaurant above the room was extremely noisy, early in the morning and late at night. Lots of chairs scraping and movement noise.

We liked the closeness to Stonetown

Cons:

This hotel needs a complete renovation inside. I even cut my arm on one of the spikes on the doors, vanity drawers do not open without prying them open. The food availability at the hotel was limited and subpar at best. Room was not ready for us at check-in for over two hours.

The stay was ok for 1 night, staff was very friendly. The hotel would need an overall make over.

A lot of noise due to renovations, bad breakfast (only instant coffee - on Zanzibar!, forgotten breakfast order, offered pastries were dry).
