Best Hotel in Mataro - but needs to show more hospitality

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel has a great location right by the marina, spacious and comfortable rooms, and a tasty breakfast buffet with plenty of choices. The facilities throughout the hotel were clean and well maintained, and what I appreciated most was the calm atmosphere. In fact, of my last five hotel stays, this was by far the quietest and most relaxing. I had a small issue during the stay, but the management dealt with it immediately and professionally, which I really appreciated. Thank you.

Cons:

The only real downside was the hospitality. In general, the staff came across as rather cold, reserved and unmotivated. As a regular traveller, I’m used to different cultures and different styles of hospitality — so perhaps I simply encountered the more Catalan version. Still, a friendly “Bon dia!”, a smile or even a little eye contact would have gone a long way. With a few exceptions there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to the basics of making guests feel genuinely welcome.

The gym could also use some attention: the equipment is rather limited and feels more decorative than functional. And a small note for breakfast: On 6 subsequent mornings the hard-boiled eggs seemed to have reached a level of commitment where even the shells refuse to let go. Perhaps a new cooking approach could work some magic there :-)

Idealnie położony hotel - bardzo blisko w kluczowe miejsca: na plażę, do kolejki do Barcelony, do tego w okolicy kilka świetnych restauracji (wszystko w odległości 5 min spacerem). Pokój bardzo wygodny - z balkonem z pięknym widokiem na morze, port oraz basen. Obszerna łazienka, wygodne, szerokie łóżka. Świetny basen. Śniadania ok - dość monotonne, ale dobre.

Clean and good enough value for money- could use some variety in breakfast + room service

Breakfast is relatively basic and doesn’t change at all- stayed for a week and it was same with no variety.
No room service whatsoever- if you want a spoon you’d need to go to the bar to pick it up yourself
Pool can be on the cold side

El hotel se encuentra a pocos metros de la estación de tren, en el puerto, habíamos reservado una habitación estandar y nos alojaron en una habitación superior😁 frente al mar, con balcón para disfrutar del paisaje. La habitación grande y cómoda, cama extragrande, ducha excelente, todo funcionaba a la perfección. Tienen un bar en la zona de piscina con personal muy atento. Muy buena relación precio/calidad. Volveremos!
