I stayed at the Concorde Hotel Doha after being placed there by Qatar Airways due to a missed onward connection caused by a delayed arrival into Doha.
The hotel displays a five-star rating on its signage; however, in my experience, it felt closer in standard to a typical UK Premier Inn. The overall aesthetic is quite bare and basic. In the lobby especially, looking up at the ceiling reveals visible wear and finishing flaws that detract from what you might expect of a five-star property.
Breakfast was mediocre at best — the standard hotel buffet offering of cooked breakfast items alongside continental options. It wasn’t poor, but it certainly wasn’t memorable or reflective of a luxury stay.
Dinner, however, was much better. I had lasagne and a pasta dish, followed by dates for dessert, and found the evening meal enjoyable and well prepared.
The room itself was very basic. The bed was large but unfortunately too firm for my liking, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. The room also felt surprisingly warm, even with the air conditioning running — particularly notable given that this stay was in February. The view did little to improve the experience: through a very dirty window, all that could be seen were concrete rooftops, AC units, and water tanks stretching into the distance.
My stay coincided with the beginning of Ramadan. Visitors should be aware that during this holy month, many venues operate on reduced hours or remain closed during the day, and Qatar enforces strict laws regarding eating and drinking in public during daylight hours. While this is entirely within the country’s cultural and legal framework, it is something tourists should carefully consider when planning travel, as it may significantly affect the overall visitor experience.
Overall, this hotel served its purpose for an unexpected overnight stay arranged by an airline, but it did not meet my expectations of a five-star establishment.
Large comfy bed helps relieve with a good nights sleep

I’m so happy about the service provided by Aira at the front desk. Her service recovery skill should be an example for all staff in the hotel.
My husband and I arrived at 8am to a disappointment of service and room quality on the 5th floor.
We went down to raise our concerns to Aira and she was exceptional! She listened to us and offered us alternatives and also to check the room. She showed compassion, understanding and showed politeness.
She has all the qualities of a General Manager and we were shocked to find out she was a senior there. My husband who himself was a hotelier himself knew right away she was not only working for Concorde but she was passionate about customer service and believes in the brand. She’s well groomed and seem like the only one who puts in effort to look the part!
She has constantly taken care of our needs and requests which is comparable to Alwadi in Musherib(we have stayed there before). Her service is tailored to individual customer needs and not just a general “by the book” answers. Such qualities should be trained and made an example of for all staff member.
Our best wishes for her and I believe Concorde should recognise her outstanding passion for her job!
Stayed 4 nights at the hotel. In this time for the pros, the rooms are spacious and very quiet with a separate shower in the bathroom.The staff at the hotel are very friendly and do try to help if they can. For the cons, the food is average at the buffet. The GYM needs work as there are three running machines and only one work and that is not that good either. The TV in the GYM doesn't work and you have to take your own towel from your room as none were there. Getting an extra towel was a mission as well as house keeping would not give me an extra one. At best I would only give the hotel a 3.5 star as it is starting to get a bit dated.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel did not meet the expectations of a 5-star property. The staff were not very welcoming, which made the stay feel uncomfortable from the beginning. The windows were dirty, making it impossible to properly enjoy the view.
The jacuzzi was very cold, and when we asked for assistance, we were told that the heater was broken, so it couldn’t be used at all. In addition, basic amenities were missing: there was no sewing kit available despite requesting one, and they also did not provide head caps.
Overall, due to the lack of service, cleanliness issues, and missing facilities, I honestly don’t think this hotel deserves a 5-star rating.
Great hotel and great services by the front desk. Mr.Fahad and Mr.Ibrahim are great guys and treated me very well at front desk of the hotel. Nice stay.
The hotel was quite okay, the reception took too long to check us in. The rooms were fair , staff were quite nice. One security guard called John was really nice to us he acted on our requests faster than the reception did and assisted where possible. The reception needs to step up on requests.
Ever since I enter, everyone is very welcoming. They will greet you with smile and they are vey accommodating. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Lovely experience staying at Concorde Hotel Doha. After a long flight we booked in and staff were so helpful checking us in giving us extra water, toothbrushes, toothpaste. Rooms were lovely room 107 was especially spacious with a separate living room. There was also shampoo, shower gel etc. Breakfast was delicious. We also had a 2pm checkout which was perfect. Would highly recommend this hotel.
The cleanliness of the room was excellent which was did by Jouisse , Peter and Fahad . Excellent service they provided for both the rooms that we stayed in .
The location is good, the rooms are spacious and the staff is helpful. Everything was clean and the noise level was non existent. Very calm.
This hotel is primarily used for Qatar Airways customers who miss their connection at Doha airport..
The staff couldn’t care less, we asked multiple times for towels and were told they would be sent to the room but don’t arrive
We had QAR250 each to spend but only did the buffet lunch which was nice
Wouldn’t bother with the pool, staff have to give you access which is ludicrous then again we request pool towels which followed about 20min after being given access to the pool area. Madness
Checkout was chaos, everyone trying to checkout at same time in order to get transfer to the airport.. invoices being prepared and signatures requested even when no additional spend had occurred. Process overload
