Art Deco original. Plush comfort.
Pros:

What a beautifully decorated Art Deco Hotel in the middle of town. A very comfortable stay in a 1930's hotel retaining its original features.

Very pleasant stay.
Pros:

Room nicely decorated, compact, clean and comfortable. Our room included an ironing board, a small fridge and a kettle with teas and coffees, all nice additions.

Very good hotel, great location, comfortable rooms.

Cons:

At the price parking should be included, charged us $20 per night for a public car park which is the same price as anyone's pays. Restaurant / bar area closed up at 10pm and asked to leave. Good hotels should have a decent sized area for residents to sit and have a drink. Room was on 1st floor, there was a lift up to it from the reception but then a flight of stairs back down half a floor to get to the room. Strange and would be difficult for some people.

Ein sehr schönes „echt“ historisches Haus
mit viel Charme eingerichtet . Sehr gut gelegen und das Essen im Restaurant sehr gut.

Cons:

Für den Preis hätte ich erwartet, dass kostenlos Wasser zur Verfügung gestellt wird .

I loved the decor, location and the awesome staff
Pros:

The location with views overlooking Hawke’s Bay. And 30’s inspired sitting areas on the balcony.

Cons:

The bed in the room I stayed in was snug against the wall which made ‘fixing’ my sheets a challenge.

Location is excellent

Cons:

Our room was on the first floor, which meant you could take your luggage up the elevator one level but then had to get it down about seven steps to your room. Not a problem for us now but would be tricky for some.
