Cons:

The lady in the room next to us was on the phone to someone from about midnight until 3am, and we could hear every word, so sound proofing an issue.

Ein schönes Hotel in sehr guter Lage, gut ausgestattet mit geschmackvoll eingerichteten Zimmern. Auch das Restaurant und der Pub haben uns gut gefallen. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Die Badezimmer sollten vielleicht gelegentlich auf einen zeitgemäßen Stand gesetzt werden.

The Masonic is a cool art deco building, located in the heart of Napier, however for the money probably could have found
Pros:

Wonderful location right near the waterfront.
The common areas were nicely presented but a lot of the inside is starting to look tired.

Cons:

Room was “underwhelming”. Was expecting a more luxurious decor.
The shower over the bath would be a real problem for many.

Are Deco dreamland
Pros:

Beautiful building, in keeping with art deco heritage.
Lovely shared roof garden/terrace with arbors and view to sea and beach.
Lovely decor and great location in the heart of old Napier

Cons:

Service in the restaurant was slow...despite the waiter using the window as a door to shorten his access to the terrace.
Rooms are quite tight but do have access to roof terrace.

Unforgettable experience
Pros:

Loved the decor and atmosphere of this iconic hotel. Our room was super-comfortable. Quiet, relaxing and very much in keeping with the Art Deco theme of the hotel as a wholel. The furnishings, artwork and objects in the room and throughout the hotel are just exquisite. Let's not forget the delicious breakfast and a great evening at the elegant bar. It was
a truly unforgettable experience.
