Das Zimmer (superior mit kingsize Bett) war doch sehr klein; das Badezimmer ist tatsächlich schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es war sehr sauber!

Very easy to hear other guests in house- doors opening and closing etc as well as bathroom.

Historic building
Very small room. Shower on the colder side. Warmer temperature not possible as locked in. Water from head system; ladies would have to wear a cap. Existing door opening to the terrace tacked in between the adjacent room and the wall. If paying extra for a room with terrace, that is not worthwhile. A small double bed.
Room was too small & cramped. Bathroom too congested. Guest parking was non existent.
Right in the heart of Napier. Beautiful Art Deco building in a town of similar buildings. Easy to walk to all areas of interest.
Not much to do other than look at the downtown area.
The character

The location was ideal , central in town but also by the sea front with stunning views from the veranda. The room had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Clean, with a comfortable bed and quality bed linen. A lovely hotel to come to if you want a special weekend away. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel has two eatery places attached to the hotel which was ideal when you didn’t feel like going out. The KKitchen eatery offered good meals at reasonable prices. Staff were eager to please and friendly. I did not try the Irish pub there.
I found the room dark as the walls were painted a dark colour.
The building was old world and a delight to be within. It was located immediately opposite the beach with the iconic black sand. Parking around the venue was easy.
It was a unique hotel full of character. It was right in the centre of town close to everything. The staff were very helpful at both check in and check out. It was also great to have parking available
