This has an old-world charm. Not your posh, modern, hotel, but a ski inn that Bing Crosby would have loved.
Don’t get me wrong. Nothing is run down, quit the opposite.
Location is ideal.
The continental breakfast is lacking. But I mainly used that for a good cup of coffee, a piece of fruit, toast topped with scrambled egg, and off I go.
Breakfast was good, but basic. Facilitaties could use updates and rooms could use updates. Service was amazing, everyone was so nice. Room and hotel was very clean and cozy. Very comfortable and great location.
Everything. We have been there before and we will be coming back.
Nothing.
The location was absolutely beautiful. Staff was polite, professional, accommodating and made you feel like welcomed family. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. The restaurant within the facility was amazing!
Nothing. There was nothing about The Snowy Owl Inn I didn't like.
Snowy Owl Inn – Waterville Valley NH – July 11 into 12 – 2026
First stay – great place! We used this for basecamp for two days of mountain climbing in the area (about 10 minutes away from Sandwich Mountain / Drakes Brook Trails and Welch-Dickey Trail.
Super easy and fast check in. Very nice staff. Dog friendly for a modest extra fee. Rooms were small and perfectly suited for our needs. Everything was very, very clean. TV and fridge in your room – we were in 202 that looked out to the back of the property facing a little river. Water pressure and temperature in shower was great. No noise from other rooms. 202 is on the main floor at the end of the hall, not near ice machine or elevators – next to emergency exit only door.
We did not try it, but there is an Indian restaurant in the building. This is a quintessential NH ski lodge with large stone fireplace and hearth in the lobby and a front porch with rocking chairs. Next door is a small village shopping area, other restaurants and a small lake. Very nice.
This is a no smoking property.
Price was more than fair for what you got and they allowed only a one-night stay on a weekend which was very nice.
We will be back.
Personal muy amable pasamos un tiempo muy bueno en familia.
Well it was a place to stay.
Well for starters there was no one at the front desk half the time . The TV remote didn't work The bathroom wall had something on them It took us 8 minutes to get in the room. Power was out for a bit. In the closet there was no extra pillow we had to ask .There was no sign telling u where the pool was. The breakfast was not kid friendly. The hallway was super hot.
A localização
Beautiful and comfortable stay. Located near town square, perfect location. Staff is amazing. Highly recommended.
The hotel was perfect for what we needed. It's very close to the Waterville resort and the staff are very friendly. The room looks a great value for cost and having everything (bars, restaurants, shooping) right next door was amazing.
We stayed at the Snowy Owl over the Presidents' Weekend holiday, which we knew would be crowded and with many children. We have a child too and that is when we are all able to go. We don't mind kids running around and even making noise. What we experienced was beyond what even the most easy going family friendly kid loving people can handle. Most of the Inn was booked by an entire boys' grade school hockey team, and also a high school group. It is a great venue for large groups, and I can see why they would book it year after year. It was just too much. The extreme noise level, especially during the evening hours when everyone came back from skiing before 10pm "quiet hours" was beyond the pale. There was nowhere to sit outside of our room because all public spaces were filled, except the entrance lobby. We tried to play a card game there but it was honestly hard to focus it was so loud. Someone was playing a video game at the volume of 11 - like I was in an action movie at the theater but louder. It was uncomfortable even in our room, with the very loud noise and shaking from the hard running down the halls and banging into walls (hockey in the halls?), and the screaming and shouting, shrieking even at times, were so loud that it was painful, even in our room. Again, we expected and have no problem with some noise, and we are not quiet. It was three hours of mind-bending inescapeable racket. I could not comprehend that those who run the Inn don't put any limits at all on these groups who behave beyond limits that they would have at any home or any other public space. The owners clearly do not care about any other hotel guests. It is a cheap place to stay in a great location, but beware of school holidays. No one should stay there who isn't a part of one of these groups. I am not exaggerating. I like children and this is a great place for kids and parents to have fun, but the lack of any limits by hotel staff (and parents) made it a torment.
الإفطار جيد والموقع مميز
رائحة الفندق وحاجته للتجديد
This is such a lovely inn. It’s a fun walk down the 80s memory lane - which adds to the charm.
The owners have put so much attention to detail in everything and they’re incredibly friendly and helpful. My husband and I enjoyed our stay tremendously. Highly recommend!
I didn’t like the fact that there were less guests there than usual due to the economic downturn that has taken place in this country ever since January 2025.
The lack of Canadian tourists was completely evident. These people feed the N.H. economy and they’re not coming here because of ridiculous economic (tariffs - what an idiot!) decisions and outrageous statements. Tourism revenue is down across our state and it’s all avoidable. NH deserves better. The lovely owners of The Snowy Owl Inn deserve better!
