the stay was nice, just let down by the check in and check out staff.
Pros:

Ms Liliy Pan, spoken to us about stay on the 20 Mar. which was a big surprise to me.

She was helpful and informative too

Cons:

The front counter check out staff on 24 Mar at 930am.
not able to handle customer and calls.
Need to better to task and customer management

Mr Winson, on the 21 Mar also took a long time to get my booking reservation found.

Kempinski is a great brand, but this property is oh so tired and in need of better management.
Pros:

good location, nice sized rooms, comfortably furnished.

Cons:

The front desk upon check in was very slow and poor service, I waited over 15 minutes to be checked in, not something you want to do after an international flight.
the hotel is now getting tired, and I have stayed there before, but not again.

Pros:

Great location and an architecturally interesting hotel The room was nice but the bathtub drain was broken There was poor communication from the reception staff For Hilton which has been my favorite brand so far the experience was not the best compared to other countries

Cons:

Poor welcome and an overall disappointing experience The check in felt unprofessional and there was a lack of basic information about the hotel’s services and facilities which is something you would expect at this level

During breakfast one staff member in particular behaved in an unprofessional way While it was only one person it negatively affected the overall impression

The pool was also cold which made it uncomfortable to use

The most serious issue happened when the hotel arranged a taxi for me The driver scammed me by demanding double payment claiming he had no change and manipulating the situation I wanted to give him the correct amount but I was missing just 2 yuan and he insisted aggressively He became confrontational and even looked into my wallet which was extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate

This left a very bad final impression I do not understand why the hotel uses these specific brown taxis instead of standard city taxis which I used throughout my stay in Xiamen without any issues The driver should be reported and penalized This incident took place on March 9 at around 9 45 am

Overall a very negative experience especially at the end of the stay

A Nice Hotel, but notnperfect
Pros:

The gym and pool were good. Hours were long. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable, old but everything worked well.

Cons:

Location was a bit far from nearst mall. Some of the concierge staff were very young.. They were friendly, helpful but not very experienced. Some are lacking in local information.

No Air conditioning in rooms
Pros:

Front desk staff very professional and cordial.

Location quite good.

Cons:

Extremely disappointed with this hotel. Primary problem is they disable air conditioning except during peak summer. Consequently room was too hot to sleep well ( AVG 25 Deg C night) and unbearable during day to work.
Strongly complained to management multiple times. Only adjustment they would make is turn on AC for short time to cool the room, but then it is disabled again and room becomes too hot again.
This hotel advertises that rooms have AC but they intentionally disable it. After 3rd complaint I was told it was hotel policy.
Booking.com should NOT sell rooms that are falsely advertised
