Really friendly team in the hotel, great location, delicious food in the restaurant, only downside was the room not having aircon, it was baking hot even with the fan on all night. Don’t stay in the Fleurie room as people walk out past your window and so you can’t leave it open (lack of privacy). We would go back, but would ask for a larger room where you can open the window at night. They were really friendly to our dog and he was welcomed into the restaurant.
A very functional hotel. easily lives up to its 2 star rating. The room was a bit on the small side but was very clean and well presented. The hotel staff were attentive and friendly. A great location directly on the seafront
We have now stayed in 3 hotels in Chatelaillon, and this is the best so far. The location is perfect (20 metres from the promenade) and it is only a short walk to the casino area and shops (where there are bars and cafes). The restaurant is excellent (very good seafood at a reasonable price) and the room was comfortable and clean. There was also a good variety of food at breakfast. The only very minor criticism is that the room was not air conditioned, and it was very warm. If it is not possible to park in the street outside the hotel, it should be possible to find parking about 50 metres away in the main street.
We only ate here but the meal was wonderful. The staff were very attentive and the location was lovely looking across the sand to the sea. Would definitely return in the future and would probably stay here.
I stayed here for three nights and enjoyed the experience. It is right on the sea front and literally a hop skip & a jump from the sandy beach.
The rooms where comfortable and clean. We changed rooms on the second night (due to availability of a sea view room) and was bowled over by the views.
There is a restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel which has views of the beach. I ate there on one night and the food was very good. The menu didn't change during our 3 day stay.
There is no Kettle in the room.
We had breakfast on the last day. and was a typical French continental breakfast (croissant & bread with Jam) and coffee. The coffee was ground coffee and was good. Worth the money (if not included in your stay) . . . . .Touch and go. Yes it was nice but didn`t have much fresh fruit or meats as I expected. So for what you had . . .
The lady owner does not speak much English, so bring your phrase books if you don`t speak much French.
There is no car parking attached to the hotel, but in September there is free car parking adjacent to the hotel in the street. When staying here, It was like being in summer and had three very nice warm days - - - therefore parking in the daytime can be potentially difficult.
Would I stay here again ? most defiantly
would I recommend to others? most defiantly
very friendly owners and staff. wonderful location on the beach which was very busy on our arrival a hot sunday7/9 pm but unloaded and moved car adjacent to hotel @ 6pm (no hotel car park) stayed 3 days Menu de marche 24 euros was good but did not change while we were there but the 31 euro menu was superb well worth the money and wines were reasonable, excellent breakfast and the location good for beach or exploring area including la rochelle. would recommend it and hope to return one day
Had a wonderful 4 night stay in this Logis hotel which is right on the sea front yards from the sand looking out on Ile d'Aix Rooms were extremely comfortable but try to get one on the front if possible.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were also good.
In the evening we dined in the restaurant on a half board basis so it was get what was given but all was delicious as one would expeect in view of itslocation mainly fish but all deliciously prepared and served the lady maitre d although not speaking english was a delight .A reasonbly price wine list rounded things off nicely all in all a very good place to spend a few days by the sea.Only drawback no carpark but plenty of free street parking nearby
This hotel is in a perfect location right on the promenade and about 10 metres from the beach. We were able to park reasonably close to the hotel in free parking and were quickly greeted on arrival, given our keys, and were in to our room. We had a standard room which is extremely small, infact we seriously considered seeeing if they had something bigger. Unfortunately for us the hotel was full and so there were no other rooms. Despite its small size it was very clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was also very small but again was very clean and functional.
The hotel restaurant was extremely good and they had a good choice of meals especially if, like us, you like fish. The food was all beautifully presented and tasted terrific. Breakfast was also excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed here for three nights and once we'd got used to the room size we enjoyed our stay very much. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area next year.
We spent an August (2012) overnight here enroute by car to Spain and were drawn to L'Acadie by the attention its website gave to its restaurant. €133 bought us a simple, more than adequate Logis bedroom & breakfast, and one of the finest fish dinners we've ever eaten in the hotel's very pretty restaurant. Chatelaillon Plage is a delightful, fashioned family seaside resort into which L'Acadie slots in perfectly. We shall return.
