Great rooms and service. The concierge is outstanding. Spa is unique in its size and offering.
Food is fine.
This resort is exceptional. My wife and I stayed 2 nights as we traveled from Venice thru the Dolomites. Exceptional service, from valet to concierge to front desk to restaurant and bar staff....superior. Very elegant decor but not stuffy. Elegant but comfortable room with great terrace and view. Shuttle to the village was always available and easy and quick which was nice to avoid difficult parking. Small hotel so easy to get around, restaurant was exceptional in food quality and service. Concierge very helpful with activities and directions. Did not have time for the wellness/spa but it looked very nice. Highly recommend. It is just outside of Cortina, but we enjoyed being outside the village. If you must stay in the village, then there are other options.
We were staying in the area for a few days to get out hiking in the mountains and so wanted somewhere that offered great facilities to relax and recharge afterwards. The spa and gym were some of the best we've ever seen, and that's before you consider the view out over the mountains. Staff were excellent - helpful in every way, and great at English, so the whole stay was absolutely trouble free and most enjoyable. Grazie mille!
We were very happy with our stay. The hotel is clean and the staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The concierge was extremely helpful to us in an emergency when our rental car broke down. You will definitely enjoy your stay here!
My husband and I stayed at the Rosapetra Spa hotel for 3 nights while visiting the Dolomites. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are spotless and comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent with a wide variety of items to choose from. We also ate dinner at the restaurant which was very good. The location was ideal to easily drive to many hiking trails and towns for shopping and restaurants. The spa was fabulous with full access to the pool and saunas. In addition to staying at a beautiful hotel, the head concierge, Canio, was absolutely fabulous! He suggested 2 fantastic restaurants, made the reservations for us and helped with our daily hiking itinerary. He was by far the best concierge we have encountered in many years of traveling.
We had the best stay here. The property is stunning and the staff are so warm and kind. I would highly recommend to splurge here, you won’t regret it!
Clean, friendly staff, great food. Service was exceptional. Was a little pricey in our opinion but overall good experience.
We unfortunately had a terrible experience. Our 22 meter room was smaller than advertised and being an inner corner room, it came with a partial terrace and semi obstructed view (views are the beauty of this destination). The hotel moved us to an expensive room for 2 nights, which we paid dearly for, only come back to the sub-par room. We received authorization to leave a day early and the hotel did not honor our refund. Overpriced rooms which are unacceptably small. The hotel could have provided better customer service on a bad situation. I would not recommend the Rosapetra.
Unfortunately I have to give The Rosapetra a very unsatisfactory review.
The first room the front desk showed us when we arrived, was an inner corner room with a very limited view of the valley and mountains. The room was extremely small and stuffy. We asked if another room was available for our stay. The only room that was available was a suite which we paid extra for but it was only available for two of the four nights of our stay. Which meant we would have to interrupt our vacation, pack up, move and unpack, which we agreed to.
They told us another deluxe room could become available and they would offer it to us. After two days we packed up and went out for a day of biking. On our return the front desk escorted us back to the same room (Room #10) that they offered us two days before, knowing how displeased we were with it! Not even mentioning that they couldn't give us another option. We voiced our disappointment again! We were tired and drenched from biking in the rain so we took the room.
We talked about leaving a day early and went back to the front desk and asked if we could get a full refund for the next night. The woman at the front desk assured us multiple times that we would and that our travel agent needed to call them, since it was booked and paid by them and the Rosapetra would give us a full refund for the last night.
We went out for dinner that night and packed up. The next morning we were checking out (a day early) and the front desk, again assured us once she spoke with our travel agent we would get the refund. We would have NEVER checked out if we weren't getting refunded. We would have stayed last evening.
Later that day our travel agent called us stating that the Rosapetra will not be giving us a refund and that the front desk never said we would get a full refund. We were SHOCKED.
It wasn't a language barrier as she said it multiple times! Since our stay in August, we have been in contact with The Rosapetra through email with the Operations Manager. He would not give us a refund. His only solution was to give us a credit for one evening in 2026. We will not be going back to Cortina in 2026 as we live in the United States. This solution was not acceptable to us which we told him. He wouldn't budge and that was his final offer. This is very disappointing! Although this is a lovely hotel and the staff was pleasant we would not recommend staying here.
Was great
We stayed at Rosapetra Spa Resort in August and were disappointed. The hotel has no air conditioning, and their solution was to suggest leaving the balcony door open at night—right onto a busy, noisy road. It also didn’t feel safe since anyone could easily walk up to our room.
Breakfast was very basic: just yogurts, cereals, and a few egg options. The best part of our stay was the staff—they were truly wonderful and went out of their way to help. Unfortunately, the hotel itself just doesn’t match their level of service. Federico was amazing!!! No matter how hard they tried, the property felt more like a basic 3-star hotel.
Sadly, I wouldn’t stay here again.

The Front desk team is helpful, kind and for the most part attentive.
The Concierge is ALWAYS missing in action, and it is unclear why Management is not willing to make a change.
Housekeeping is good and attentive.
The SPA has a "stuffy" team that should be more in tune with the relaxed-chic tone permeating the property.
Rooms are very small, some offering air conditioning, some not. When hot, sleeping with open windows is a must.
The restaurant offers a solid breakfast. Dinner offers small portions when compared to other venues such a RA STUA, EL CAMIN, etc. Service is friendly under Mr. Gaetano's supervision.
Location is good, 20 minutes walk from the center of Cortina.
Awful traffic due to constructions in preparation for the 2026 winter-Olympics.. Truly a nightmare.
An amazing hotel in Cortina, Italy. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to take you to downtown Cortina. The town is preparing for the 2026 winter Olympics. The atmosphere of the hotel is calming. Superb service. The rooms are modern and have all the amenites.
The bed is luxurious and the bathroom is up to date. The resturant is very big, and has an outdoor space for cocktails (Aperol!) amid the Dolomites. This is a real dream hotel.
Magnificent hotel, friendly staff , amazing setting .. lovely views
We had a magical time at Rosa Petra. The staff are so warm and welcoming and the rooms are lovely. The restaurant staff couldn’t have been more kind with our two little ones. The food is wonderful at the hotel’s restaurant and the views from the patio are fantastic.
Take their shuttle into Cortina. Parking there really was a nightmare! The hotel is not air conditioned, but with fans, we slept comfortably. We really wished we could have stayed longer.
We had an amazing and memorable time at the RosaPetra Hotel in Cortina D’Ampezzo. The entire staff was so kind and attentive. Roberta (the front office manager) made sure that all of our needs were taken care of. Canio (concierge) helped us plan the best activities and experiences with 2 kids! We spent 3 nights here but plan to be back for more in the future!
The Rosapetra Spa was very lovely and had the most amazing views of the surrounding mountains. The staff was nice on arrival. The room was beautiful but lacked the 5 star luxury I was hoping for. The Spa was quite beautiful and had various saunas but the most beautiful sauna was off limits and we were scolded by the spa staff when we used it but not one staff member said it was closed. It was annoying but I have to say the spolier was the American couple who made a scene in the spa was they saw someone naked. To all Americans- its Europe-if you go to a spa be prepared to see nakedness. I have to say what really impressed me the most was the restaurant. It was fantastic. Everything we ate was amazing and the service was impeccable.
We chose Rosapetra Spa Resort because it was the only hotel in the area that advertised included air conditioning in the rooms, as stated on both their website and TripAdvisor. Unfortunately, this was not true. Instead, we were offered a portable fan, which did not help and meant we had to sleep with both the window and balcony door open. Our room was quite small but did have a balcony with a view of the mountains. While the facilities, breakfast, and bed were all good, the stay felt extremely overpriced, especially since we didn’t get the air conditioning we specifically paid for.
We stayed here in summer and really liked the hotel. My favorite activity was sitting in the outdoor restaurant area in back with a glass of wine in the early evenings. The hotel is elegant and well located just outside of town. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because we stayed in a superior room and it was very small and a bit claustrophobic with a tiny window looking out. Definitely go up to the next level of room because the superior rooms are not great.
