Wonderful stay at Crags Hotel from start to finish.
The room was comfortable and everything felt just right.
Harry was an excellent host — very welcoming and friendly.
He was chatty, helpful, and made us feel at home.
Would happily stay again and highly recommend it.

I had a truly wonderful stay at The Crags Hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. Every member of the team went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, always with a smile and genuine kindness.
One of the highlights of my stay was the Indian restaurant—it was absolutely excellent. The food was authentic, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Every dish was clearly prepared with care and high-quality ingredients, making each meal a real treat. The service in the restaurant matched the quality of the food: friendly, efficient, and professional.

Comfortable bed and excellent location
Staff were friendly.
I wasn't given the room I booked - I booked the deluxe room. The room I was given was up two flights of stairs. When I went down for breakfast, no-one has there and the dining room was closed.
Location was excellent, didn’t have breakfast but ordered food when in the bar and was excellent.
We had such a fantastic stay at Crags Hotel! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, always happy to help and even provided extra things we asked for. The rooms had everything we needed, really clean, tidy, and well maintained – you can tell they take great care of the place.
We also tried the Indian restaurant attached to the hotel and the food was honestly out of this world – so tasty and definitely worth it!
We’ve stayed in a few hotels around Callander, but this wee hotel and bar has been the best by far. On top of that, the price was great for all the amenities included. Couldn’t recommend it enough – we’ll definitely be back!
It was superb food and staff so lovely and delicious. Will be staying there again next year
Nothing
It was filthy! The bathroom was dirty The toilet seat was just propped on the toilet I fell off it the first time I sat on it The hand rail in the bath came away from the wall when it was touched The shower temperature was impossible to control The bed was like lying on metal bars The carpet was ingrained with dirt
Centre location
Needs more attention to detail, as in paint work ,doors properly done , and carpets cleaned also grout in bathroom needs attention.
Our stay at The Crags Hotel was pure magic. Nestled in the heart of the Highlands, the location is truly breathtaking—rolling hills and the tranquil sound of the loch right outside our window. The hosts, Das , were incredibly warm and welcoming, offering us a dram of local whisky on arrival and fantastic recommendations for nearby walking trails. Our room was cozy and charming, with a tartan throw and a window seat perfect for admiring the view. The full Scottish This isn't just a hotel; it's a slice of Scottish hospitality we won't soon forget
Well what I can say about Indian restaurants We started with the samosa chaat, and it was a revelation—a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy, with a satisfying crunch. For the mains, the butter chicken was rich, creamy, and wonderfully tender, and the lamb rogan josh was a symphony of complex spices that lingered beautifully on the palate. The garlic naan was fluffy and fresh, perfect for scooping up every last bit of sauce. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and our server my hari, was a delight, helping us navigate the menu with expertise. This is, without a doubt, the best Indian food I've had in years."
Had a really nice time staying here. The staff were super friendly and made me feel welcome right away. The Indian restaurant in the hotel was honestly delicious — way better than I expected.
I spent a bit of time in the bar and the locals were really chatty and easy to talk to. It actually felt a bit like being at home.
The staff also pointed out a bunch of nearby places and scenic spots to check out, which was really helpful.
All in all, a great stay — would definitely go back.
