Spa and gym, lots of facilities
Very hot and air con wasn’t working correctly
Went for a one night stay for a private party. Unfortunately not enough time to use all the facilities on offer, spa etc. Little disappointed with breakfast, on the small side, plates etc. Funny tasting sausage and bacon missed off hubby’s plate. Room in the court yard and was lovely. Private party exceptional ….
Breakfast especially for the money paid to stay
Breakfast very good in Manor House good but staff were not very organised. Need to be smartened up.
Mainly poor service in the Manor restaurant.
Food good but poor organisation
I love the facilities in the hotel. It got multiple swimming pools, games room and even soft play for the kids. The rooms are great-very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast is superb, one of the best I have seen in the UK.
The lady at the reception during checkout was surprisingly cold.We asked if we can have a late checkout (since the indoor swimming pool was closed on the day we came in so we wanted the opportunity to use it for couple of hours before checking out). She was very unhelpful and wanted to charge us high rate for staying 2 hours after checkout time.
Most hotels will be very happy to accommodate one or two hours later checkout if they have the availability but she didn't want to even check and responded with immediate blunt decline, which wasn't nice to experience .
Apart from her,the rest of the staff were amazing, kind and helpful.
Very beautiful and clean
Nothing
Lovely facilities and grounds, lots to do for children and adults. Even though it accommodates guests and members, didn’t find any area was too busy or overrun.
The food is underwhelming. The new Indian restaurant was average but prices didn’t reflect this. A lot of dishes also served lukewarm as opposed to hot.
Excellent facilities, beautiful grounds
Spa, dining restaurant 19
Accommodation
Very disappointed with my recent stay! Complete lack of accountability, and basic customer care/ respect.
Within 30 minutes of checking out, I contacted the hotel regarding a silk pillowcase I had accidentally forgotten on the pillow. Despite the immediacy of my message, I was informed that it could not be located. When I raised this, my concerns were dismissed, and I was repeatedly assured that no staff member would have taken it, rather than any meaningful effort being made to investigate the situation. This left me feeling as though my account was not being taken seriously.
For a hotel of this prestige, such situations should not occur, and certainly should be handled very differently. As a returning guest who has chosen this hotel to celebrate special occasions, I expected a far higher level of professionalism, care, and understanding. Instead, I was left feeling disregarded and disheartened, which has significantly impacted my trust in the service provided.
So the site was in a great place and I could charge up the car. There was also really good support in the gym and I went to a yoga class which was enjoyable.
OMG nightmare. So I had £50 taken off my card as a preauthorisation. I was told that it would go as it was unused but it has stayed on my account ever since. A month has gone by. When I raised it with the hotel I was given frankly short shrift. I had paid over £400 to stay at Foxhills but the afterservice was frankly unfriendly, unsupportive and the tone was 'I really don't care'. The receptionist was snooty and dismissive and the finance team didn't follow up after I asked for a code to help clear the charge. I honestly felt like they'd got their money out of me and once I'd gone I was no longer of interest to them. It was a premium rate that I paid and customer service fell far below that. I am still annoyed right now. The main house was shut and I was in the annexe so you think that they would be even more supportive of clients considering that not all places were available. I just couldn't risk going back there after this. Just imagine if something else needed fixing, I couldn't trust that they would be supportive or helpful and that's a deal breaker for me. Many times over the last few weeks my phonecalls went unanswered. I left messages with Finance to get some help that were ignored and when I did finally speak to someone they promised to get back to me with the code and haven't. I even left a message for the General Manager as I was getting nothing back and was ignored.
The property was great, big and clean room
For the dinner we were in the XIX restaurant. The quality of the food was very low. I have ordered king prawns pasta and it was with extra boiled pasta and some chopped tomatoes from can. The same one was for my daughter, pasta from children meniu.
Stunning building on beautiful grounds, lots of local shops / restaurants nearby, facilities are really nice
